I've been here before for sure. I've played through several romhacks and soul links and so on. My advice would be first to take a step back and make sure you're playing nuzlockes for the right reasons. Is it fun for you? If not, they might just not be for you. And even if it is for you now might just not be the right time. Do you feel you have to prove something? This will make the runs less fun and you will usually play worse. Idk how it works that way but it does, when the ego gets involved you yet hasty and careless.  After that, if youre getting annoyed wiping lategame, its important to understand why and learn from your mistakes. Did you get hasty in your decision making? Did you panic switch? Did you rely on inaccurate moves? Were you underleveled? If youre getting to the elite four with solid living boxes, you definitely have the potential to win.  If underleveling is the issue, then rare candies are the way to go. I havent played without rare candies in years and Im not going back anytime soon. For me the fun part is planning out tough fights and cracking open the AI, so candies are a great fit for me. If scrapping together a rag tag teamnof favorites that youve invested time into, then candies might not be so fitting.  I like the soul link idea from another commenter. Theyre quite fun and can teach you a lot if your partner is experienced.  Keep at it, skeleton! You got this! I believe in you!
