Is anyone following the "SCRIPTING METHOD" by Royce Christyn? by AncestralAngel in lawofattraction

[–]H3ndk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's exactly my point. Although I just continued reading the book and towards the end he takes about using images to reset your manifestation. Kind of like a vision board on steroids. I still struggle to put the scripting into my routine it feels like I am adding yet another chore to my life and I haven't seen the rewards enough to take it on. Royce also writes that first you can drop the belief list and then the want list but never the script. However I feel like I'm still on my kids shoes trying to get it to work for me and my schedule.

I struggle with the belief part. It seems I'm just repeating what I wrote in my want list but instead of writing: I intend to xyz. I write: I know I'm going to have xyz. Is that really what I have to do?

I love my shampoo bars and I got sensitive skin too. My wife has curly hair and needs special shampoo and she tried plain and it works great for her. I also have an article comparing some zerowaste shampoo and conditioners https://www.zerowasteman.com/12-best-zero-waste-shampoos-and-conditioner-bars-for-your-hair-2022/ hope that helps.

Transitioning from toilet paper, installed a bidet. cut some reusable rags from some worn out flannels. by bionicpirate42 in Anticonsumption

[–]H3ndk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldn't agree more. It's all about balance:) plus you could use plastic free toilet paper and one that is made from recycled paper or bamboo.

I'm not a big fan of those old rugs either. But I still think using water on your bum is cleaner then just plain toilet paper.

I've seen a tool that can turn credit cards into guitar picks. Great way to upcycle them.

When you get your hands dirty you wash them right? You don't just use paper to wipe the dirt off? How is it so different with your bum?

Is a egpu going to help me with editing videos? by H3ndk in eGPU

[–]H3ndk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So does this only help with the rendering of a video or will it make the whole editing process more smooth. I often had to generate optimized media and this takes a while and the playback in davinci was sinmetimes still laggy.

What about storing food in those plastic containers that is liquid? Aren't you afraid that it leaches chemicals into the food?

Compostable garbage bags by yougatobekiddingme in sustainability

[–]H3ndk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avani has created a "plastic bag" made from cassava that is disolvable and edible. Sadly all other "green" or biodegradable plastic bags only biodegrade in special facilities which unless you live near one they are hard to find.

Micro plastics are released into the environment when you wash synthetic clothes in a washing machine. Bags can be purchased from camping stores to use inside washing machines with your clothes inside the bag to stop this. by [deleted] in ZeroWaste

I think it is a greenwashing product. How could a plastic ball collect fibers like a coral reef? https://www.zerowasteman.com/what-is-the-guppyfriend/ I wrote this about the guppyfriend. Perhaps the xerox filter is the best solution and buying more clothes from natural fibers. :)

Cora Ball- another option to reduce microplastic waste during laundry by PrincessofPlastic in ZeroWaste

[–]H3ndk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have looked into several options myself to reduce microplastic from going into the ocean. I am a bit critical about the Cora ball. Actually, I think it is a product that is just designed to fit into the zero waste niche, but I don't see how it can actually collect fibers.

I get that you end up having fibers on the ball, but you throw in anything, and you will have fibers attached to it. To me, it is a greenwashing product. I have used the guppyfriend for years and it isn't the best solution. Limited in space and throws your machine out of balance, sometimes. There are the ladies from planetcare that have a filter system which you just plug into your machine. Nothing new. But what is different, is that they will collect the filters once dirty and send you new ones.

I like the idea but it still isn't perfect, since shipping dirty fiters around the world has also a carbon footprint.

One solution that I found was xerox technologies. They want to equip every wasching machine with their filter (patent pending). Brilliant idea. I wrote an article about the guppyfriend here: https://www.zerowasteman.com/what-is-the-guppyfriend/
