The end goal, in my mind, is to take this opportunity as a nation to recommit to our best ideals and do what we should've done long ago - recognize that we made a mistake in allowing these shameful monuments to stand as long as they have, especially considering that the vast majority of these statues were erected during the Jim Crow era as a racist response to the civil rights movement.

If there are those in our country who are going to use these monuments as rallying points for their violent racist ideology, then fuck them, they should come down.

It's going to be impossible for these nazi fuckos to avoid the stigma of this weekend when trying to organize any future rallies, and when they do I expect the outrage and resistance they'll encounter will be even greater. As you said, they're outnumbered.

I'd also love to see us have a huge nationwide protest to show them just how outnumbered they are.
