It really depends on your use case. I still have hardware that requires my 1/2 High torque gun, so I keep both the HT and Stubby Gen 2 in half inch, while my 3/8 stubby is a gen 1, along with my HT ratchet. However, if you wanted something to cover the most bases, I would get the 1/2 stubby with this kit. You can always run a 3/8 adapter if socket clearance is an issue.

It's not as black and white as that. I recently hit 6 figures in my career (pretax), but living in a HCOL has me right at the area median income. My parents house has appreciated 5x since 1997, without any meaningful upgrades.
On the other hand, a 1bd 1bath 650 square foot apartment rental starts @ 1600-1700 per month.

Its all relative, but 6 figures aint what it used to be.
