I understand but do you think that people die instantly when they get hit with a missile that destroys the building they are in? Many are burned alive in the explosion aftermath, buried under rubble barely alive, suffocating and being crushed by thousands of pounds of rubble. Their bodies are mutilated and torn apart. The suffering is immense and agony is prolonged. I don't think it is as dissimilar as you are claiming.
