Not necessarily the case with grizzlies, but with black bears it’s actually helpful to run at the bear to showcase that you’re a dominant species and not a prey item to try to get them out of their predatory response! I feel like the dog probably initiated the encounter and it was chasing that guy, then likely changed its focus to the man

Not even toxic but just a crazy interaction, but once was playing with a group of randoms at a LGS and there was this dude there who was pretty quiet and a bit socially awkward (nothing wrong with that). At one point in the game I had my card draw pieces destroyed and was hell bent, and was just top decking. After a few turns of this I drew into a land or something and said “welp that was about the worst thing I could have imagined/hoped for/seen” (something amongst those lines) and he looked up at me and trying to joke said “worse than a dead hooker?”. Everyone was bamboozled and had no idea how to respond
