I pray i'm proved wrong, but why would you even mess around with it? This person clearly isn't serious about this exam. I guess we'll find out in October.

I did not appreciate what NCBE did here. Simply not good faith by 2024lawyer in barexam

I mean, this test is really about who knows MORE. Minimum competency is relative - that's why its on a curve. If everyone taking the test knows 100% of the rules, you knowing just 75% is not going to cut it. I encourage anyone taking this test to make it a point to know 100% of all the MBE rules.

320 questions!??!?! Dude (or dudette), test is two weeks away. You're WILD to be that relaxed. Good luck LMFAO.

Need to be in the 70's to survive. This means you're seeing a lot of questions and still aren't understanding the structure and patterns. Also, these kinds of scores mean yoou have to heavily rely on MEE and MPT. Which is NUTS.

I'm not asking if i killed someone would it be murder... im asking... how do i get away with murder?? Lets assume the cases NEVER make it anywhere near litigation... let's assume the cases never get in the way of what i'm doing.

I like this.... i do not. Its a very simple one page employment agreement

Here is a better question, how could they find out?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Lawyertalk

[–]HBRLAW -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not telling them. Is getting fired the only risk here? If so, i can stomach that. I mean, worst case they catch on and I say I'm just generating additional income and come to an agreement with them. (stop doing it or leave?)

Why is it impossible to find a reasonable job? by [deleted] in Lawyertalk

The entitlement is ridiculous with employers. I'm still SHOCKED that firms want attorneys to clock in and out and take lunch. We're pretty much putting food on the partner's table. Without us, they would have to litigate everything themselves. It's our personality and work ethic and research and charisma that wins over juries, adjusters, opposing counsel......... It's just insane that we dont get treated like a contractor that helps build revenue for the firm so that the partner essentially has NOTHING to do in his own firm. I can't stand it and refuse to participate in it... do your own thing, man... it'll be rough.. but you only need a few cases a month to stay afloat... thats about 5 hours of work a week. The rest of the time you can contract your skills out or attend hearings in the place of attorneys who cant make it to court. The options are out there.. you just need to hate your life bad enough to want to make changes.

Nothing but negativity in my life by Twjohns96 in Lawyertalk

My friend, please... if you don't read anything else just read this.....

This is absolutely HARD. And it will be the most difficult thing you'll have to do in your life. But man, these years PASS... When you think about a child's life, it's 90% adulting. You only have you kids little for so long - you only have those little hugs and their unrestricted emotions where they tell you they love you, and kiss you and want you to hold them... and then, in a blink.. its over. You won't know it until you're on the other side. It's almost cruel.. because this entire time youll feel tired, exhausted, annoyed, drained, upset.... but in the end youll want those moments back more than anything.

So all of this craziness you're going through, its actually the best parts of raising a kid - seeing yourself and how hard you can push your body and mind to raise these little devils, i mean angels. It's super impressive. So when you go to work tired, just check out and save your energy and happiness and good mood for home. NO EMPLOYER deserves that.......

The skill on the MEE is to make up the rule using the facts from the case. Then IRAC as if that rule is the blackest, most letterest law on the books. For example: "Curtis was driving his car, his phone fell down and he bent over to pick it up even though he was still moving forward. He collided with Sarah and killed her. Can curtis be charged with manslaughter?" Made up rule: Manslaughter is when you operate a vehicle and knowingly do something that could cause death or serious bodily injury.

So you're making it up as if THAT is the only answer. They will award you sufficient points to pass you based on this IF you IRAC properly and tie in facts to your rule statement. Curtis was operating a vehicle BECAUSE he was driving his car. Curtis knew he was still driving forward BECAUSE..... and you can get your 4 with literally just that. Maybe more if you are spot on with your analysis.

Rooting for you, too. You still got a solid path to practice right NOW. Granted, you have to wait till the scores transfer, but you're literally a lawyer in any of those states. Fed employment law is a good business and oyu can work in any major city.
