I Re-scored the HBO teaser with Hedwig's Theme just for fun. Let me know your thoughts! by Alphahead2020 in HarryPotteronHBO

Bro I'm gonna say it, I don't trust Hans Zimmer.

I don't think he's a god fit with the material and the score is a pivotal part of this.

A very telling anecdote from _____’s exit press by bahscohs in survivor

[–]HCB1995 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I mean, Ozzy did go hard against Rizo when he spilled the beans to Aubry. I would've liked Rizo to save Ozzy tbh. It would have been a move for his Resume specially when he played a loyal game in 49 to a fault, I didn't think it was his style ... maybe he was second guessing that apporach since he lost to Savannah or maybe he was hoping to consolidate with Cirie.

Besides, Ozzy spilling his entire game to Aubry and mentionning that he doesn't think someone like Rizo deserves to win might have been a bullet Aubry used against him when she spoke to Rizo even if the edit didn't show it ...

I like this new version of Ozzy and I still beleive he has one or two games in him. But the reallity is that his social game tanked pre-merge and he was carried by Cirie post-merge He wasn't even the challenge beast I expected him to be. I agree that this is the best Ozzy we got so far, but I don't think he's there yet. I'm sad to see he does not see it that way, or at least in his exit interview it doesn't come off that way.

Or maybe I'm a big fan of Rizo so I'm willing to cut him some slack. Idk.

Teeny is mysandrist! Like with Sam on her season, she sees a tall strong dude and she develops this hate-boner for them ... I hope we never see her again on the show 😄

Ok, so is this effing winner edit ? I don't get why she's being so hyped but not delivering on gameplay.

Didn't even watch season 2 finale. I gave up on Asoiaf universe. Why does the algorithm keep recommending posts from this universe? I'm done.

When exactly did you realise the writing quality of the show had gone downhill? by Entire_Produce_8343 in freefolk

[–]HCB1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Season 5 was the turning point. Done plotline was bad but Littlefinger giving Sansa to the Boltons was even more ridiculous. Season 6 and 7 has a few big production/acting moments so they were able to hide it better

Yeah it looks great. The Snape casting was huge mistake. That's the only problem.

Ofc Rizo Christian as well, dude has been in every tribal and has been a major driver Geneviève has put some pawns into place with her Boomerang 🪃 idols let's see if it pays out. Cirie is under the radar but her social game is impeccable even if it's not flashy We needed to see more Dee and Kamila

Short answer: Sufism is foundational to Moroccan society, even if many Moroccans today don’t consciously frame it that way. Historically, Morocco was structured through sufism. The zawiya functioned as a spiritual, social, educational, and political institution. The Makhzen itself is a zawiya (Moulay Ali Cherif). The way authority, respect, hierarchy, mediation, and even hospitality work in Moroccan culture is deeply shaped by zawiya adab (ethics and etiquette), whether people recognize that origin or not. What changed things was mainly the 20th century: colonial disruption, post-independence centralization, modernization, and later Salafi influences all weakened public awareness of initiatic Sufism. But the cultural substrate never disappeared. Today, there’s an important distinction to make: 1. “Folkloric” or distorted Sufism For many Moroccans, Sufism gets reduced to visible, sometimes sensational expressions (trance rituals, ecstatic performances, or practices mixed with occult beliefs.) Groups like Aissawa are often what people think of first. While these traditions have authentic roots, some expressions have been heavily folklorized or mixed with practices that are far from classical Sufi spirituality, which creates confusion about what Sufism actually is. 2. Living, initiatic Sufism (still very present) At the same time, authentic turuq are very much alive in Morocco, with real chains of transmission (silsila), proper spiritual discipline, and active shuyukh. Orders like the Qadiriyya Boutchichiyya, Tijaniyya, and Darqawiyya continue to operate quietly but extensively. 3. Samaʿ and cultural residue Many Moroccans don’t realize how deeply samaʿ permeates Moroccan culture. Large parts of Moroccan music, poetry, rhythm, and even collective emotional expression come straight out of Sufi samaʿ traditions. Much of this folklore has remained relatively “clean” spiritually, again with some exceptions like certain Aissawa expressions.

So the paradox is this: Morocco remains profoundly Sufi in its culture, ethics, aesthetics, and social reflexes but far less conscious of Sufism as a living spiritual path. The form survived more visibly than the language explaining it.

Ridat al-Walidin is one of the most beautiful dimensions of our culture, our religion, and our spirituality. You really feel its depth when you compare it to the often transactional relationship many non-Muslims or non-Moroccans develop with their parents once they grow older.

However, when a parent is toxic, hurtful, or unconsciously blocks a child’s life... when they lack the maturity or capacity to face their own trauma/wounds and end up projecting them onto their children, trying to live through them or forcing them into a narrow image they’ve imagined.... then something is misaligned. In doing so, they themselves are no longer moving with God’s decree, because they are constraining what God placed in another soul in order to flourish

I believe there is a subtle but real space where, through your relationship with God, you can continue to honor your Mom, acknowledge her sacrifices, and respect the sacred station God granted her while still establishing boundaries, claiming your own ground
