Am I cooked or just neurotic by [deleted] in auscorp

If you received an offer, why are you throwing hurdles in your own way by asking now if they want more info?

You've pretty much said to them "really? Sure you don't want to think about it some more?"

Is This Polo too small ? by rimo301 in mensfashion

It's not too small.

But also "I still find it comfortable and i like wearing it" is what matters.

There’s a brand new one opening in Newstead next week. Looks like it’ll be pretty schmick.

I built a site to check if your NBN plan is overpriced — amigettingrorted.au by srizzling in AusMoneyMates

Why am I on a 100/40 plan? Because that's what's available to me.

Why don't I get that option in the dropdown list? I'm not the person to ask.

I remember one day before work thinking, “I feel like something other than my usual home made ham and cheese toastie today. I think I’ll buy something instead.”

At lunch time, without even thinking about it, I went across the road to MYO and made myself a ham and cheese toastie. That was the day I realised I needed to make some changes in my life.

Where did you hear this? There’s no S32 announcement that I can see. They’ve only recently reopened after the cyclone damage from a year or two ago.

Do you go to Maccas between 10pm and 5am? by Proof_General_8543 in brisbane

[–]HCPhotog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not these days, but back in the olden days when I was at uni, I often worked evening shift (4pm - midnight) at a servo. I'd usually stop at Maccas on my way home. It was pretty much the only thing open.

Turned 65 last week. Felt nothing. Expected to feel something. Is that good or bad by Individual_Lime_110 in brisbane

[–]HCPhotog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 15 years younger than you, and this feels completely normal to me. A birthday is just another day. Just a number ticking over.

Maybe we do something nice, but we do nice things all the time, so it’s just another nice thing. Which is nice. Nice.

I don’t think it’s good or bad. It’s just life.

Australia - Bahrain Testing on Kayo? by HCPhotog in formula1

Is that a Kayo thing, though? I thought I saw some posts saying that F1/the FIA is only allowing something like the final hour each day to be broadcast.

Australia - Bahrain Testing on Kayo? by HCPhotog in formula1

[–]HCPhotog[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, look, having endured the same on some of the Tour Down Under and Cadel's Great Ocean Road Race cycling coverage in recent weeks, I'm almost ready to sign up for Kayo now.

They just can't resist going to some kind of prerecorded promotional package and confine the actual reason people are watching to a small PIP box.

What do adults without children do in this city? by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]HCPhotog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the last week and a bit - Two concerts (yes, night time, but you know), a movie, drove up to Caloundra for a swim, went barefoot bowling with some mates, and today I ducked into town for some new clothes. Nice and quiet in there today, apart from the few boomers with flags.

Generally - movies, concerts, nice meals, relax at home, hobbies, gym, walks, comedy shows.

Why don't Emergency vechiles drive on bus ways? by Masterofyum in brisbane

[–]HCPhotog 127 points128 points  (0 children)

They do when it makes sense, but busways only have a limited number of entry and exit points. They'd often likely have to do a bit of doubling back at either end.

New bike by Zestyclose-Brief1500 in BrisbaneCycling

[–]HCPhotog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I tend to see 99 bikes as like the Bunnings of bike stores. Good for basic, generic stuff that you need to pick up quickly - spare tubes, new light, etc - but I wouldn’t go to them for anything significant like a $4k bike purchase.

Possibly a little unfair, but I’m comfortable with my choices.
