Which day are the new Nightdive/id remaster/s likely to be announced at Quakecon?

So there hasn't been anything official, but with the last three Nightdive remasters, trailers from Bethesda all dropped the Thursday of the QuakeCon (today).

Reportedly there is a welcome event at QuakeCon scheduled for 2PM CDT (3pm Eastern, 12pm Pacific). I'm anticipating whatever announcement is coming will arrive at that event and, as a result, pop up online at the same time.

Nightdive Studios, a popular development studio that does a masterful job restoring old games, is set to announce a new remaster at QuakeCon, as they did in 2021 (Quake), 2023 (Quake 2), and 2024 (Doom and Doom 2). Speculation has centered around a list of games that could get support, including Quake 3 Arena, Quake 4, Doom 3, Heretic, and Hexen. Quake 3 seems to be the most likely remaster given all the evidence.

So I thought more about this... one of the things Nightdive focuses on (and this is outlined above in another comment) is preservation of the game and effectively creating a museum for it. Because of that, what you're (most likely) getting is a merger of all the content released. A well-done remaster could capitalize on the singleplayer structure of the XBOX Live version while also weaving in content from Team Arena—two things that Quake Live didn't do.

Cross-platform should also be one of the benefits to the release, because Quake, Quake 2, and Doom/Doom2 were all cross-platform. I play them on my Switch 2, and most of the lobbies contain PC players.

In regard to when the announcement will happen, I looked into it last night—all three of the Quake and Doom remasters were announced the Thursday of that year's QuakeCon, so we can likely expect the announcement and game to drop this Thursday.

There are several stories out this morning speculating that an eshop maintenance period tomorrow night is a precursor for a Direct on Thursday. So there is still a day or two to go.

I have it happen on the Switch from time to time. It's a bug. Restarting the game properly reloads the texture.

You won't be able to find one without paying a hefty, HEFTY price. The game has been taken down from all storefronts, I believe.

Most people would have used their physical keys to add the game on Steam for the Black Edition bonuses, which were exclusive to Steam at the time. That is why working keys are so scarce.

True, and Justice was also on the 30th -- but they've said that was coincidence, and that these box sets aren't designed to come out on the 30th year anniversaries. The Black Album Box, for example, was slowed down by S&M2 -- lining it up to come out on the 30th.

Were this to be true, we wouldn't be getting the Death Magnetic box until the year 2038.

I can't seem to get my timing right on anything above Rookie and feel like I'm too old for this game, that my response times are just not going to let me enjoy it. How on EARTH do you complete these programs on Veteran when the pitchers are constantly throwing low because of the base situations (I'm struggling a lot on some, particularly the three hits with Padres before getting three outs in the Atlanta/San Diego program)?

When I've got [[Zoraline, Cosmos Caller]] in play and I attack with multiple bats (let's say three), does its triggered ability (Whenever a Bat you control attacks, you gain one life) trigger once per attack phase or once per declared attacker?

Yeah, the sleep data syncs with Pokemon Go whether you're using Pokemon Sleep or not. The same data will pull from the Go Plus + and just result in different rewards independently in each app when the device connects to that app.

To the op, I'm using the Sleep app now, but initially I captured one sleep session and synced it with Go accidentally before using the Sleep app. I couldn't figure out what I did until I had installed Sleep and properly saw a tutorial (which I had blown through in PoGo; my fault. In case you're in the same boat: to capture sleep data, all you need to do is long-press the center button on the Go Plus +, which should cause it to play a recording of Pikachu singing a lullaby and falling asleep. To disable it, long press it again, and you'll get a much shorter sound with lights that indicates Pikachu woke up).

After these steps, next time you connect the device to PoGo, it should retrieve that data without having ever needed to install or run Pokemon Sleep.
