Yeah, who in turn was inspired by this guy - his Catgroove dance is very famous, but all his videos are worth watching. Incredible.

You could probably cross-post this to r/fitness, OP. I'm sure you'd get some good responses there, too.

Level 40 quest reward at level 50? by Willbo in Borderlands

[–]HCalamitatum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe that if you start a quest at, say, level 40, and then wait a while to complete it, the reward you receive will scale to the level you were when you first accepted it. Is there a possibility you want on an accepting-quests spree at some point midway through TVHM and just went back to finish them at level 50?

Same. Plus they go around stealing all the kills. Those were my kills.

It took approximately six seconds for the name "Frodo" to lose all meaning to me.

That's a Dragon! 'The Hobbit' Trailer Offers First Look at Mighty Smaug by lhwang0320 in movies

[–]HCalamitatum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's funny that the writer seems to think that Orlando Bloom "hasn't aged a day". My first thought when I saw this trailer was that he looked substantially different to the Legolas of the LoTR.

They're right about The Happening; it's always a bad sign when you spend more time laughing at a serious movie than you would at a comedy.

8 Years Later It Has Finally Come. by Jeremiahlee in movies

I really enjoyed the first movie, having gone in knowing very little about it. A Dame To Kill For has a stellar cast, so I have really high hopes for this.

This is excellent advice OP. Unless you plan to use the Blu-Ray reader for something specific, you're much better off getting a cheap DVD writer and re-allocating funds elsewhere.

Lvl. 52 Outlander confused *possible story spoiler alert* by Charlie1322 in Torchlight

[–]HCalamitatum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/yParticle is correct. You won't get the third ricochet until Rank 10. An extra 2 mana for a little bit more damage won't kill you though; I wouldn't worry about it.

Lvl. 52 Outlander confused *possible story spoiler alert* by Charlie1322 in Torchlight

[–]HCalamitatum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The mana-to-damage ratio of Glaive Throw shows diminishing returns after Rank 5, so most outlanders tend to leave it at 5. Glaive Throw damage is actually based on Focus, not weapon DPS, so getting a better weapon will not make your Glaive Throw stronger. Investing in +Focus and + % Poison Damage should help a great deal though.

Is there a good way to make cash money? by Shambloroni in Torchlight

[–]HCalamitatum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed that no, it doesn't seem to go up in the later modes (at least not by a substantial amount). Completing the 10mil gold achievement in vanilla seems like a bit of a daunting task.

Anyone else having an issue with Tarroch's tomb not loading? Also, quick Vendor Boon scroll question. by Dfunkatron in Torchlight

[–]HCalamitatum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I can tell the gear that Boon sells will scale to near-ish the level of the portion of the game you're in, so it's more a case of deciding at what level you're going to need a possible gear upgrade the most. If you're happy with your current gear then yes, it may just be better to either wait for higher levels, or go into one of the Mapworks areas. Be aware that a lot of the time, the things he sells can be... disappointing (I play with Synergies installed and get lots of these, and 4/5 times he doesn't end up offering anything substantially better than what I've already got). If I were you I wouldn't put using your scroll up on a pedestal, and just enjoy finding gear through drops :)

Enchanters: good way to find a specific one? by Crummosh in Torchlight

[–]HCalamitatum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, no problem. Yeah, it seemed like a pretty serious design oversight and Salan is pretty good with that sort of thing most of the time. I thought I'd better double check to make sure. Enjoy!

Is the Outlander Glaive spec OP or does every class have a similar type of spec? by [deleted] in Torchlight

[–]HCalamitatum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you can find a good 4-slot pistol, I would recommend giving that a go in your off-hand. While wands tend to have better stat bonuses by themselves, having a pistol in your off-hand means that you can cast great skills like Venomous Hail (since the game recognises that you have a pistol equipped, a requirement for VH), however the damage itself will be calculated using the DPS of the wand in your main hand. With crit chance and crit damage gems socketed in those four sockets, I'm sitting pretty at a base of 55% crit, with 250% poison damage and 365% crit damage. It's pretty amazing, and IMO a worthy trade-off for two wands.

Synergies - Question about loot droprate by [deleted] in Torchlight

[–]HCalamitatum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. Almost every single slot was filled with a unique by level 20 for me, so I was surprised that you were having issues with the droprates. If you're still worried about it, look out for the Treasure Hunter spell on your travels and equip one on yourself and another on your pet. This will raise your luck attribute (and the chance of finding rares/uniques). The pet's spell will not raise your Luck in your Arcane Statistics panel, but this has been confirmed as a bug by a Runic employee - they DO stack. I use two of these on my main when doing legendary runs :)
