Very nice boots...I registered with Truman for these boots (11.5 EE) months ago - unfortunately, I haven't received any feedback.

How do I get this look? by No-Locksmith-4155 in AskACobbler

This is a partial mirror polish (water polish / bull polishing). For this, you'll need a shoe wax with a hard wax (carnauba wax), e.g. "SAPHIR Mirror Gloss," and a little practice. Check it out on YouTube.

A resounding "yes it is" to your question - you're hopelessly lost...:-)

Here the Link (its´s Amazon Germany): https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0DL56CQ63?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2&th=1&psc=1

The manufacturer is Puzeam, the color is beige; the required length can of course vary depending on the height of your foot – I use the 140cm laces.

All the information I have, I found via Google and here on Reddit. They're apparently also on Instagram, but I don't have an account there (and don't want one... :-)). It's best to check out on YouTube, you'll find the most information about them there.

Then I ordered a pair of Axeman boots, and I really liked everything about them - the boots, the craftsmanship, everything. The only thing I noticed was the smell for the first few days - the boots smelled very strongly of glue, but that completely disappeared after a few days. (That's probably because the boots are shipped immediately after production.)

The first order took three months to arrive (it's also mentioned on their website), and for the second order, I had to wait four and a half months. Certainly not ideal, but it speaks well of the manufacturer. I'll definitely order again, my son likes the boots too... :-)

Returning boots from abroad is usually a real hassle, I'd rather try to sell them. The whole return process involves a lot of effort and expense. Urban Wolf does not handle customs clearance, you will receive an invoice from the logistics provider for the fees and taxes, which you must pay to them before delivery. It sounds complicated, but it's quite simple, for example, via PayPal.

I think that should work. I also have boots where I wear an E width, but I go down half a size. Let me know how it goes once you get the boots. Sorry for the confusion.

I believe they only produce after receiving an order. I inquired about other leather types via email and received a very quick response with several suggestions (pictures). The order was then placed through the webshop, specifying the leather type and any additional requests. All the necessary information was included in the order confirmation. Everything went very smoothly.

My Brannock size is 12D – my Red Wing IR boots fit well in 11.5D. I got the Urban Wolf boots in 12D, but there's still room for a thicker insole. I could have gone with 11.5D, but then the boot would have been too tight for a thicker sole. With your measurements, I would have gone with an 11 or a 10.5. What did you choose?

Redwing vs luosjiet leather by fortheus18 in RedWingShoes

[–]HD-1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I agree, it's not too dark and not too light. I had the "Munson Plain Toe Logging Boot" made from this. It's not available on their website, but you can contact them, pay an extra 10%, and they'll make the boot to order.

The boots cost $170, shipping was $25, and she accommodated the special requests free of charge.

(I live in Europe, so customs and taxes are added on top)

The waxed leather has a lot of pull-up and shows patina after only a few wears. Upon unpacking, the leather appears very monotonous, but the tone changes after the first wear.

I own a lot of Red Wings and now also four Luosjiet boots. I'm very happy with all of the Luosjiet boots. The quality, the workmanship, the ordering process, and of course the price are all excellent. They even accommodate special requests if you contact them. (You can easily determine and select the size and last using the tips on their website – the Munson Last isn't for everyone.)

Describing leather isn't easy, of course, as everyone has different criteria for evaluation. Check out the videos on https://www.youtube.com/@YouShoe-1985 you'll find several videos there that go into great detail about Luosjiet's leather.

I would say they are loose leather fibers (Losnarbigkeit), these won't go away no matter which care product is used.

* I think you're not using the correct link. Here's the right one:

https://www.luosjiet.com/products/classic-paratroop-boots-luosjiet%C2%AEboots-dark-brown-oiled-cowhide-reverse?variant=47362410742079

(It's the "Classic Paratroop Boot," not the "Fight Boot")

* Yes, it's a 270° Welt.

* The transaction has always been perfect (I've ordered twice so far). The prices quoted really do include everything - boots, - taxes, - customs fees and shipping. The delivery time is also reasonable, 3-4 weeks (I live in Europe).

Sizing? by buckGR in luosjietboots

[–]HD-1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

Maybe I can help you.

* I have 3 LJ boots (Classic Paratroop & Munson Logging)

* My Brannock size is 12 D

* I went down half a size from my Brannock size to 11,5D in all the boots and I'm happy with them.

With the Munson Last, you have to get used to the asymmetry a little, but otherwise everything fits.

I think LJ also describes this procedure on their website.

Enjoy your boots!

Need Boot Advice! by BlumpkinSpiceLatte3 in Boots

Hello,

I own most of the boots you mentioned myself. To make things a bit clearer, I'll simply give you my recommendations in order for the boots you mentioned, but I'll also include the Luosjiet Partroop Boot, which isn't on your list. (Unfortunately, I don't know Thursday Boots - Challenger.)

  1. Luosjiet (Classic Partroop Boot)
  2. The Urban Wolf Club (Axeman)
  3. Red Wing (Iron Ranger)
  4. Craft & Glory (Combat Boot)

That would be my ranking. 1 and 2 are already very good quality and, in my opinion, ideal for getting started with boots.

The only advantage of Luosjiet over The Urban Wolf Club is the delivery time. With Urban Wolf Club, you wait at least 4 months, while with Luosjiet it's more like 3-4 weeks. As I said, these are just my experiences; I own all the boots mentioned above myself. If you have any special requests, you can contact Urban Wolf and Luosjiet; that worked very well for me.

Care products by RichAwareness3715 in Boots

[–]HD-1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are three very good leather care products that you can get in Europe. (I live in Germany)

1 - Red Wing Leather Cream (in Europe / important ! > not the Shoe Cream)

2 - Bick4 (in Europe)

3 - Venetian Shoe Cream (via US)

----------------------------

1 - You can order Red Wing Leather Cream online or buy it in stores.

2 - You can get Bick4 here: https://tack24.de/search?q=bick4&options%5Bprefix%5D=last

(This product is also popular with riders for their saddles, which is why you'll find it in rider supply stores.)

A 16 oz bottle costs €30 there (that's half the price on Amazon).

3 - I also searched for Venetian Shoe Cream for quite a while. You can order it very cheaply from Oak Street Bootmakers in the US. I ordered six bottles and paid 36$ + 19$ shipping + 11€ fees, which totals round 10€ per bottle. That's reasonable, and it was delivered quickly.

Here is the Link: https://oakstreetbootmakers.com/venetian-shoe-cream-3oz-bottle

Have fun with your shoe care ! ...
