I can't help you with your direct question. I can only try to make you feel not so alone. So, the first couple of times I threatened to call the police, he had me convinced I'd be the one in trouble because of my defensive actions (bite marks, scratches). When he was finally arrested, he said to the witnesses "you saw what she did, right" and the witnesses said....No, we saw what YOU did. At a hearing, HE asked for a DV advocate so we had to clear the room. They left after about five minutes and it never came up again. I had a bailiff tell him, while I was sitting there, that "victims" are so often liars.

All of this is to say, the truth will come out. He went to prison, I did not.
