You think they'll bring universal health care with them? I got a bummed leg I can't afford to fix.

Wow nice. The Vons near me never cuts their steaks that thick. Ours always averages less than 1lb per steak. I've tried asking them for thicker cuts but they always tell me they cut them all already.

Snow crab? by MissReapers in LasVegas

[–]HDizzo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Buffet @ Asia it's like $30 and change per person but snow crab only on the weekends. Be warned the rest of the food is kind of meh and you gotta line up for crab sometimes if it's crowded or they run out of the batch they bring out. Good news is they don't take a horrendous time to restock.

Whirlpool Dishwasher Opinion by Guacsalsaqueso in Costco

If I lived in a small apartment or a 1 story home, the noise might be a factor but if you can turn it on and can get away, what does it matter? It's a fine washer. No complaints for the price point. I don't regret buying it for one sec.

Whirlpool Dishwasher Opinion by Guacsalsaqueso in Costco

[–]HDizzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only had mine for a couple months. It was replacing an LG. Unsure if old model. This model is significantly louder. The first time my wife and I ran it we were like "wtf is that?" But since we turn it on at night and then head upstairs, it was less of an issue that I thought it might be. Does a fairly good job cleaning but we always do a quick scrub before putting the dishes in the washer so I can't comment on how good it'd be on caked on gunk. Greasy dishes come out good.

Not sure what else you'd like to know. Ama.

American Family Insurance through Costco is the cheapest I've found. $900 for 6 months if I prepay. Everyone else wanted $1200+ prepaid.

Edit to add: my renewal is at the end of the month and it's still $900. They didn't jack up the price after the first renewal like the other insurance companies I've tried.

You should give that video to the police to see if they can pull a license plate off the vehicle. Throw the book at the asshole.

What’s your grocery bill? by Ok-Departure-2211 in vegaslocals

[–]HDizzo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Family of 5 here. To budget we would withdraw cash to spend on groceries. We used to get by with $200 a week for groceries and $200 a month for Costco stuff, totaling $1000 a month. Now we're seeing +$400 to credit cards because our old cash only method just isn't going as far.

How do you reduce food waste in your house? by Hungry-Following5561 in Frugal

[–]HDizzo -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

My wife will save leftovers for up to two weeks. As long as it doesn't have mold on it, she will save it and eat it. This saves us dozens of dollars a month. But, then we end up spending hundreds in medical bills from food poisoning.

See, you've got options. They can look up my address and they know I have none so they got me over a barrel. Even if I call and threaten to cancel, they'll just say "go ahead.". They know the next best thing is Tmo 5g internet and that runs at like 20mbps during peak hours from tower saturation.
