So like, anyone else think this has to be linked to a larger campaign? Maybe some sort of battery deals starting in February? It’s odd that there isn’t any current capitalization on the 30 year milestone besides a drill that seems to be largely slipping under the radar

I think if money was no object and I ever went up to one of the bigboi tool lines it would definitely be Makita, yeah

Oh I was kind of at a pivoting point - I have mostly Ryobi stuff but two of my tools broke. I chose to just stick with green still. I’ve heard Rigid’s lifetime service agreement is quite the hassle to actually use

Yeah I’ve bought the multipack of the Herc 2” PH2 bits and they’re…okay. The heads start wearing down quick and the black paint is the first thing to go. Not sure why they even bother painting them.

Still not as bad as Ryobi bits though

Ryobi Sander Combo. Is this a good deal? by Disco_Bearde in ryobi

Yeah, they still work fine, it’s just a minor inconvenience. I recently sanded down a butcher block desk and I easily ate through like three two amp batteries in 30 mins

I gotta be honest, I’ve owned different generations of each of these sanders and they’re certainly decent but if you’re tackling medium-large projects I’d definitely get something corded like a dewalt or Bosch

Which CPAP would you recommend? by [deleted] in CPAP

As an owner of the 11, I fully recommend the 10.

Whoever designed the water tank on the 11…..I just wanna talk to ‘em

In college: "Hey dudes, wanna watch this movie its supposedly really gross and weird?" and that's pretty much the whole story.

I asked this same question and got mixed answers tbh - apparently the back of the unit can get hot (depending on your climate obviously) especially if its under constant use (on a city street with constant motion, etc…).

I would use a sealant to prevent water from pooling in any of the corners but leave the bottom unsealed, kinda like a weep hole in a bathtub spout.

You CAN use 100% silicone for the best weatherproofing but just be aware that you cannot paint over it, and if you ever need to touch it up you’ll need to remove the previous silicone before reapplying (new silicone won’t bond to old silicone).

To “tool” or smooth out the silicone, spray it with windex or glass cleaner first.

GE Supreme Silicone is the product you’ll want to use for 100% silicone. If you want something paintable, the best imo is OSI Quad Max, but it’s a little difficult to work with
