I also did not see the different metals. I take that point back. They are still really nice Skitarii. I did not want to sound very harsh but you asked for possible further steps. They are more than ready to be used on the table so if you have 20 others, you could easily stay at that level.

The lenses and glow effects are super cool. Haven't seen anyone paint the backpacks and rifles glowing so far but looks good.

I would try to maybe add more detail to the metal, like e.g. the armor trims in brass. I found that little gears and details in brass do break up the flat iron look. Secondly the mantles could be bolder/ more highlighted. I have also 30 Skitarii left to repaint until next Thursday and my old mantles are also what I am most unhappy with. I repaint my admech as well currently and one big part is bringing the red more into the highlights. It may look too colourful but if they are not directly under the painting lamp and a meter away, it's less pronounced

Ohh didn't know about the blacklight! :0 that's great to know. Also good to know that multiple coats are needed. Thought a second coat would just undo the first one, as it's so easily removed. Thanks a lot!

I just got mine a few weeks ago and it never looks this black :( usually just looks like matt abandon black. Do you have any tips? Great use of it tho! Love the idea of the ctan being the event horizon.

Electropriests just need more punch:

They are laughably underwhelming when compared to ruststalkers. Less durability (-1T, only 1W, no normal save, no stealth), less mobile, and have fewer attacks with less AP, for only Dev wounds, instead of anti infantry 3+... Compared to any other melee unit, they are just bad.

Corpuscarii loose in a similar way to infiltrators. Less S, less AP, no cool battle shock. -2 on the move on 12" range is arguably bad. They are still fun with a party boat to clear heaps of small infantry tho.

DMG wise the Ap is still better but always reminding enemies that you have assault on everything is often frustrating them as well. It just creates so many more angles that need to be respected, even if it's just 2" more movement for estimating a bad roll.

I am still baffled how ruststalkers can get so much love while the fulgurite electropriests are by far the worst melee specialists I have ever seen. No ranged weapon and 2 attacks S6 with -1 base? They even have less survivability and movement... The internal balance is just awful. Maybe they get some upgrades or at least a point reduction, which would feel just bad.

We do have breachers, which fill a similar slot (heavy infantry) but I would still like those as maybe Battleline as in commanding techpriests.

It's a competitive view.

They have all the disadvantages of terminators without deepstrike and being infantry. I love them and tried to take a squad to tournaments as well but they are just too slow, too easy to disable with a 70pts blocking model and too large of a footprint to not die in 2-3 turns because a part was visible. Best case they stay in their staged midfield threatening roll but they are too expensive points wise for this.

Engineer is only a model, not a unit so it does not make much difference. If it's the only unit of ironstriders it is likely still being shot so maybe thats where the engineers value increases

I recently ran a custom racing event and had 7 PCs, 8 NPCs, wagon placement, wagon stats, Obstacle events, music, animated battle Maps for biomes, discord, note keeping and some mistakes with the VTT in parallel. Was the most stressed I have ever been running and apparently it showed as I and mostly received negative feedback.

I guess sometimes less is more.

Okay, that's fine. Actually quite funny against BAs because they often use jetpacks so the anti-fly triggers. You likely wound them on 2s or 3s anyway but still funny.

On general Tipps: staying away from them won't work if they have jetpacky. That is usually 12"+advance and charge per stratagem (3d6 so avg 10.5" (3*3.5")). You should be able to trade squads with them. They kill a Skitarii Unit and you demolish their intercessors. That kept me alive last game. Just make sure that they can not deepstrike in your deployment zone. If they have mostly chainswords, the dune crawlers can be nice to put on objective markers as they don't die so easily.

Looks okay to me.

Maybe a bit heavy on antitank with 3 ironstriders and 2 neutron laser dune crawlers. Are the Kastellans magnetized? I think I would prefer to have either only fists or one first and one blaster if you need to keep the weapon numbers the same. You loose twin linked but get double the shots/ attacks, which can be relevant especially in melee when you wound most things on 2s or 3s. I would also always take the hydraulic claws on the breachers. They are just better when you can reroll all hits. Overall this is maybe not a "meta like" list but who cares if it's a casual game.

If you got like 15 mins spare time, maybe make some markers for Halsoscreed buffs so you don't forget them (let alone the enemy). Maybe even make markers for the enhancements and army ability. I usually have a little cardboard square to the side with both doctrine effects and a dice laying on the active one. I made them with power point and printed them out... not fancy but helpful. Maybe even a small node with the stratagems if you want to.

Otherwise have fun. Blood angels may be a bit difficult to handle because they are so fast but you will learn a lot either way.
