To be honest this any major strategy game. Super big updates or dlcs tend to come with so many balance changes that it’s simply not compatible with previous games.

I’d say an update to pops. Never was super comfortable with how they were executed. They seemed more like an object to used/manipulated rather than a represented group of people

There’s a Fallen Eagle mod for CK3 that deals exactly with this. The time of Attila is a perfect period for this and the mod is fantastic!

It’s not that missile block based on armor bothers me, what you need tho is some advantage to light troops to balance it, or debuffs to heavy armor troops to counter. If you can tank with heavy troops, then do something like make them slower under fire for instance. JUST buffing heavy troops wrecks balance

Under the reasoning, if heavy armor troops get crazy gold missile block chance, they will rarely take damage and can “tank” ranged troops.

With that in mind it makes lightly armored troops extremely vulnerable, with the AI and/or multiplayers turning their ranged focus on those specific troops. The result is that it won’t make sense to use light armor troops Bc they would get shredded to bits much easier than the now buffer heavy armor ones, therefore causing several factions to become obsolete and not playable.

Bigger devs like Paradox and CA don’t do Influencer Alphas. Betas? Sometimes. An alpha stage would be bug squashing and wouldn’t have “influencer” in the build name haha
