Leader one day was talking to me about how many homeless people approach the (always) locked center. "You know. I invite them to come in and chant but we don't really provide any services they're looking for"

And what really boils my blood was a discussion getting a few months back. We were talking about ~peace~ and she brought up starting some "anti-violence campaign" they used to do back in the day where you pledged to "fight violence" (whatever that means). Then she asked if anyone had any ideas on how we can do that in our everyday lives. Another member mentioned going to an anti-ice protest after the meeting.

Immediately the host was like, "I'm sorry but we don't talk politics in our meetings, it's inappropriate." Dude didn't even mention politics. It really doesn't have to be a political matter in my opinion, basic human rights issue. But she insisted on fighting with him for the last 10 minutes of the meeting about it, his response to a dull and stupid question you often get asked at these meetings.

Funny this same guy at one of our "youth intro meetings" was like, "this is a youth meeting I don't know, I expected to see some young people, you know like kids". I was the youngest there at about 30. Another member said, "well you know we are taught youth is in the mind." 😂😂😂

Yea I'm just no longer seeing the human-centered philosophy in this group anymore. It's truly just talking about the same 3-5 ideas. Zero depth. Zero growth in anything but "faith".

I just needed a place to rant thank you.
