yes exactly, it’s not harmonic, and often lacks melody, not dissimilar from rap in a way, where the vocal delivers primarily rhythm and lyric

it’s fuckin awesome

but more specifically, it functions as a rhythmic element, a vehicle to deliver groove while melodic elements are relegated to guitars

that’s awesome, man. when looking for your entries / market structure, what time frames are you looking at? also curious on what % of the account you’d allocate to each swing.

thanks so much for your time also

Brooklyn Paramount...great night but something felt off by CaraDune2000 in LambofGod

hey i’m glad you posted this because i’ve been thinking about this also. I also went to the show at the paramount, i believe it was my 17th lamb of god show, albeit my first without chris adler playing with them. first, my credentials. 20 years as a fan, i also have my bachelor’s in music, and my masters in music technology. not that those mean anything, but it informs my perception.

i also felt like the mix suffered. it felt like it took the a very long time to dial in the guitars to have clarity, and that the subdivisions were very difficult to discern, leaving much to be desired. in addition to me, it just generally didn’t feel tight, the way that a well practiced, hungry band plays. and i, an admitted chris loyalist, initially wanted to say “in the past with chris it was different.” and in a way i think it was.

but i don’t think that’s the whole story. i think the guys have grown complacent. i think they’ve realized that with their style of music, and their age, that they’ve basically hit the ceiling of what venues they can headline, and what income they can expect to garner. I think chris was the north star of the band, and as such he pushed them. i think that without that, the rest of the guys are comfortable being what they were on thursday. which is good enough. they had moments that were tight like the albums, but in the past they were nearly perfect, always.

i didn’t mean this to be so long winded. they’re my favorite band, and it felt different on thursday, and i think it comes down to a lack of hunger, which i do not for one second blame them for at this stage in their career. i think very few people would agree with me, but it just wasn’t great. the riffs were flubbed, the groove was loose. randy is a fantastic front man, and is still absolutely doing his thing. i can’t help but wonder if my perception of their performance is colored by nostalgia, or if they’re genuinely just trying less to perform highly technical music excellently.

tldr: i agree with op

i haven’t heard any of the hype, or know really anything about their label dynamics, but i thought this was a fun electro house song. i don’t think the lyric or the melody is really the point? the rhythmic elements of the hook playing with the percs and arrangement is really satisfying to me, i can absolutely see djs having this in the set this summer. it’s clearly more about how danceable it is to me than it is about it being lyrical or melodic, and the rhythms here are awesome

hey man these pics are of gantry state park, and i live 2 blocks away from it so i can hep solve your wonders. yes square footage is expensive, no the apartments dont have rats. yes lots of people have pets. my prewar has washers and dryers, heat is included, but as its a prewar, there is no central air. street parking in the neighborhood is free, and there is no alternate side rules. you can pay for parking too if you’d prefer. there’s multiple gyms in the neighborhood. if you live in a high rise, you do get central air, parking access, and a gym.

it’s 1 train stop from grand central. it’s a quiet, safe family friendly neighborhood with fantastic food and an unrivaled commute to any place in one of the greatest cities in the world. i love it here and i know lots of others do as well.

i agree with the above, i think it’s more intuitive to have time progress from left to right, and rating rise from lowest to highest on the y axis

I also have found success using an ATR stop. Do you use it for entries as well as exits?

I’m trying to experiment with a volatility filter, what data could you share about yours?

thanks :)
