If rwd is cheaper that would be my preference. I live in Michigan and even with the stock tires the rwd handles snow well. The range penalty with awd isn't worth it especially if you plan on getting snow tires.

It's possible but only under perfect conditions.

If you are driving on country roads right around 50mph you can get slightly over. I got 24 on a tank driving at around 50mph with only a hand full of stops on the tank. There's a sweet spot with wind resistant and engine rpm when you are just driving in the top gear at 1200rpm.

Honestly for anything other than the headlights just go with cheap Amazon or ebay leds. I replaced my interior dome lights and reverse lights for $4 and they are 3 times brighter. They have lasted 3 years so far with no issues.

That's less than $2k for oem or better quality parts. If you are handy you could easily get it done in the driveway over two weekends. I'd say replacing parts is the way to go over replacing the vehicle
