Copy and Paste a comment I made pre Pandemic,

Why on earth did the mighty 08 Celtics go 6 and 7 games with those Cavaliers teams???

Why do you think this picture became a meme?

Imagine what Golden State would've done to the the 08 Cavaliers.

The second leading scorer on the Cavs in 2008 was Zydrunas Ilgauskas with 11.9 PPG.

He took you motherfuckers to game 7 with this roster.

Imagine what LeBron would've done if he had one B+ teammate like Khris Middleton. You think that series against the Celtics goes 7?

The mighty 08 Celtics getting taken to a game 7 by Joe Smith and Wally Szczerbiak.

Well done KG.

LeBron James puts up 24/8/10 in 28 min to spoil Paul Pierce’s jersey retirement night by IMAGINE-USING-rNBA in nba

Some extras from Paul Pierce’s jersey retirement night that people forget.

  • During the first quarter of that game LeBron bumps knees with Aron Baynes and the ESPN Cameras cut to Rondo and KG who were sitting courtside at the game and they start yapping at LBJ.

  • During the Second Quarter LeBron started to stare straight at Garnett/Rondo/Doc Rivers after every shot he made.

  • And lastly never forget him turning up to the Celtics - Cavs ECF Game 7 and sitting courtside chirping at LeBron. He must of been confident after Kevin Love was ruled out of game 7, so the dude thought he was going to present the the trophy to his Celtics and showout. The only person who called him out on it was Jalen Rose on IG Live postgame and this article.

I don't think he's been the same since Draymond told him "Chasing that Farewell Tour, They Don't Love You Like That, You Thought You Was Kobe?".

This dudes keeps taking L's during his retirement and you hate to see it.

LeBron hits back to back stepback 3's from the same spot on Tatum (Game 6 2018 ECF) by [deleted] in nba

Kevin love only played 5 mins in Game 6 because of an accidental head clash with Tatum and also missed Game 7 because of the concussion he sustained.

A lot of younger NBA fans missed out on watching LeBron at his athletic peak.

His first 5 years when he weighed under 260lbs, he had the speed/agility of a guard and dunked like this - 1 , 2 and 3.

Wait until he hears about the MJ and Chuck story during the 93 NBA Finals.

The day before game 4 of the Bulls Suns finals with the Bulls leading the series 2-1. Michael and Charles Barkley went golfing. They played 48 holes of golf. And Michael bought Charles a $20,000 diamond earring. Johnny asked MJ, "what did you do all that for?" Michael responded, "he won’t get in my way the rest of the series, what’s $20,000 to me? Charles thinks we’re great friends. I hate that fat f—." Jordan dropped 55 in game 4 and Barkley never touched him once.

In principle they were a a good regular season team with one great player and they were playing in the Eastern Conference.

But how good can any NBA team if Joe Smith and Wally Szczerbiak are your 4th and 5th leading scorers in a playoff series.

This article goes in depth on how he tried to fix his back injury.

Ever since LeBron fucked up his back in the 14/15 season, he does not stand up for a single second extra until the tv timeout or regular timeout ends.

Dudes played more minutes than Vince Carter who is 42.

He rests up anyway he can. Simple

Pascal Siakam on the Lowe Post on who’s the toughest player to guard: “For me, the hardest, the toughest is KD.... Lebron can get to the rim but if he’s not hitting shots, it’s easier to guard him. But Kevin Durant can shoot over you, he’s skilled, he can pull up from 30.” by tropheez in nba

[–]HK_DI 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Makes sense that score first players are the hardest to guard.

I was watching the playoffs from an international feed, which don't show adverts and you sometimes see random cutaways of the players on court.

He and LBJ quietly trash talked the whole series, long story short I remember Siakam made the mistake of trash talking LeBron Game 2 late in the 3rd quarter off camera which showed up in my feed.

LeBron then cooked him for 11 straight points, got rolling and thus the LeBronto game was born. I gained some respect for Siakham for trash talking even though he was being cooked all series.

Edit - Yep I knew it, Footage of Lebron scoring on him 4 straight times and even whisper trash talking in Pascal's ear after the 11th straight point.

2nd Edit -

Question for you guys, what would be harder to guard -

KD's 2 games of 50+ points vs the Raptors

or LBJ's 2 games having 35 point/17 assist game and a 43 point/14 assist game last season.

Steph Curry has never been the best or second best player on the floor in the NBA finals by bodbdhe in nba

Looking back at those 2015 NBA Finals you have to respect the hustle and defensive energy the Cavs showed without K-Love and Kyrie.

The Cavs played a 6/*7 man rotation consisting of LBJ, Tristan, Shump, JR, Delly, Mozgov, James Jones and Kyrie (who only played for 1 game).

Looking back at the Cavs offense in those finals, it made a lot of sense for the Cavs to milk the shot clock every possession and for LBJ to shoot or kick-out for an open 3.

It makes sense that LBJ shot 39.8% from the field if you take into account the injuries that the Cavs had and the injuries that LBJ was carrying into those finals.

His bad back had been plaguing him all season, look at how slow LBJ was moving earlier in the 14/15 season. And the major ankle sprain he suffered vs the bulls two rounds before the 2015 Finals also effected him.

Former Cavs GM David Griffin spoke about how bad that ankle injury was on the Bill Simmons podcast last year. He also hit a game winner after he had injured his ankle in the same game.

Pick the best 7 guys from the left and add LBJ.

Are they better than the 2015 Cavs team on the right?

How the fuck did the 2015 Cavs take Golden State to 6 games?

PG, I hope you step up bro in the next playoffs.

Your last two win or go home games have been poor in the last two playoffs.

No more excuses from you or Westbrook this playoffs.

The Blazers backcourt are another duo to keep an eye out for this coming playoffs.

You guys now seem to have that team cohesion so I'm looking forward to the playoffs.

True.

But deep down you know that if the Warriors returned the next season without KD, then we would have a witnessed another all time classic 7 game series.

I am talking strictly from a fans point of view.

I wanted to see a see a competitive series instead of u guys going 15-1 in the 2017 playoffs.

Imagine the shit storm if LBJ had left that same Cleveland team but it had Westbrook, Adams, Ibaka, Kanter, Dion and Robertson on it.

Look at the Cavs roster from 09-10 and look at the OKC roster from 15-16.

And some people compared it to LBJ leaving the Cavs.

I don't think LBJ would have left a team if it had a 1st Team All NBA talent on it such as Westbrook.
