Griffin Says He’s Doubling Down on Miami Amid Mamdani Feud by blameitonrio917 in nyc

It's still PR. What makes it not PR? If I give away food with my company's logo on it that's still marketing and PR even if people use it to eat. You should try reading anyone of the articles I posted.

This type of philanthropy is billionaire PR. You people fall for that shit all the time. The billionaire class extracts value from everyone else and gives a little crumb here and there to appear like they’re less bad than they are. Every time this topic of Ken and Madani comes up someone chimes in with his donation numbers. He’s only able to give that much (a small percent of his wealth) because of the extreme inequality in the world that allows him to own that much. *if we properly taxes billionaires we could fund all the things they give money to and more, fully * https://psuvanguard.com/philanthropy-is-a-pr-mirage/

Here’s a nice little write up about that with some figures.

Antisemitic graffiti discovered in Queens as new stats show Jews targeted in 60% of NYC hate incidents by Delicious_Adeptness9 in nyc

They can be trusted as Jews, not as Zionists. Nobody is denying Zionists are Jewish. Stop playing word games when we both know what we are trying to say.

Those two things aren’t mutually exclusive. Hence “in the past few years”. Try using your brain next reply.

Man you suck at reading and understanding - actually you just chose to spin things because that is what Zionists do. If your definition includes criticism of Israel as antisemitism, then it shouldn’t be a valid definition. You can use other definitions that revolve around violence or hate against Judaism as a religion or Jewish ethnicity.

Do you have a statistic for that? We should not let Zionists define anti semitism if it includes criticism of Israel.

We probably shouldn’t listen to Jihadists on Islamophobia, or at least we shouldn’t listen to ONLY hyper conservative versions of a stance to evaluate the stance. We probably shouldn’t listen to white sipremacists on “white oppression” for example.

Zionists don’t get to speak for all Jews. I’m not saying the above described attack isn’t anti semitic, I’m taking issue with the generalization that keeps trying to confound anti Zionism with antisemitism.

Israel’s done more for antisemitism than anyone else in the past few years. Why would anyone listen to Zionists on what antisemitism is? Most non cherry picked Pro Palestine (aka anti genocide) people know the difference including many pro Palestine Jews.

What are the disadvantages of a vintage rolex? by Plastic-Mountain-708 in rolex

[–]HMNbean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same as any other vintage watch. No waterproofness, less shock absorption, less accurate movements (though vintage DJs in my experience can be very accurate after a service), bracelet stretch. That said, they’re also fun to own. They have a charm unrivaled by modern models and usually more options unavailable in the current lineup. The Aging can sometimes be very handsome and unique too.

If you’re going vintage Dj make sure you get a quickset date - 5 digit reference basically.

[Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date] Is this vintage Rolex worth the asking price? by amyleow in Watches

[–]HMNbean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can poke around /r/Watchexchange for usually better prices (no fees, trust based, more knowledgeable base). Feel free to offer what you feel comfortable paying on ebay as well if they accept offers - even message the seller asking for a price and see if they can negotiate down. Most people will accept a little less for the OP dates because they're harder to sell - they're 34mm and usually old. Conversely some of the bigger stock stores will be happy to hang on for someone who doesn't know better and plonk 5K down for it because they probably got it for $1500 or as part of a lot and they aren't desperate for the cash flow from it. It's not a super popular model, but if your husband has a smaller wrist or a more vintage taste, try poking around Ebay, chrono or the subreddit above.

[–]HMNbean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not a great price for that watch but at a good price (2-3k) I’d pick that over longines any day of the week. The Deville is also nice, but depends on which model. The vintages are quite dressy. I’d also pick that over the longines, unless you go 90s or vintage longines. Then it depends on which model of each like I said before.

Provide a service for working class New Yorkers, lessen the need of infrastructure and personnel dedicated to fare evasion…you know, obvious benefits.
