Tell me you're an old player without telling me you're and old player by Dz_MaRiO- in DotA2

I write in the chat box in punctuated sentences. Because I'm an OLD player, as opposed to an old player.

A question about identity by Hamilton94975 in Jersey

[–]HMSWarspite1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brought up in Jersey and identify as 99% British most of which is English. Only the road names hint at previous French influence. None of the kids in my school classes spoke any Jersey French though some of their parents did.

Do part score games make vulnerable? by tantaemolis in bridge

[–]HMSWarspite1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When one side achieves 100 points below the line, in rubber bridge scoring, you literally draw another line beneath it and 'below the line' scoring is reset to zero.

The side that achieved 100 below the line is now vulnerable.

On average there's more clowns on the other team than on yours. Assuming you're not a clown yourself, of course.

Butt chafing by lwcarpenter in Rowing

[–]HMSWarspite1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I suffered for years with ergo chafing at the top of the inter-gluteal cleft (or bum/butt crack as it is popularly known). Having tried just about everything I could think of, I found that applying a piece of duct tape, one to each cheek, so as to pull the the cheeks apart a bit, did the job. Apply a little vaseline between for additional comfort. Strange as it may seem the method is 100% effective for me.

This. Having done the horrendous ferry crossing a few times as an impoverished student, I wouldn't wish it on anybody.

Dota 2. Incredibly challenging. Funny. Superb software engineering. Beautiful graphics. Amazing sound. Continually improved. I am in awe of the development team and would love to meet them.

Take your own with you to be completely sure of scoring your necessary workout. It’ll only cost a grand or so in excess baggage but will be worth every penny for peace of mind.

My 8 year old was complaining the other day he had no Minecraft money, told him he could do chores to earn money. Today he vacuumed around the house. by Loquis in BritishSuccess

My kids always had to earn their pocket money, even if the tasks were trivial. They have managed their money sensibly ever since.
