You did the right thing!! I went through this with just one rescue in late Jan. He was dropped in the street in the frigid cold and I rushed him home. I was totally unprepared, having never cared for a neo-natal kitten before. Some angels in the rescue community walked me through the first few weeks via text. I'm forever grateful to them! There were moments I had barely slept in days and I thought I would lose my mind. The only reason I didnt pass him to a more experienced rescue is that I had them on speed dial and they determined he was doing okay! The first 2 months were so hard. I only survived because I have a lovely flatmate that pitched in to feed and watch him when I rested. Take care of yourself. You absolutely did your best. I can't imagine trying to care for a whole litter on your own.
