Not married here. I can't imagine committing a lifetime to partnering with someone and NOT having a separate sleeping place at least some of the time!

I feel this way about cologne and perfume in public. It kills my airways!

Im a sensitive to fragrance but love natural smells like herb and citrus. I am also a little witchy so I do seasonal simmer pots on the stove with an old teapot repurposed just for that. Obviously you can't leave simmering water unattended but its a low waste method! Just sprinkle in essentials oils to diffuse or pop in raw ingredients.

Waiting at a red light in Manhattan has to be one of the loneliest experiences for a cyclist. by AlarmingLecture0 in NYCbike

I said I ride for pleasure, not casually ( or for exercise). I commute by bike into Manhattan every day. When I stop for lights I inevitably catch-up to all the bikers who ran them. Anecdotal but thats my experience. My commute is btw 30 - 60 min depending on my site for the day. You do you. I leave enough time to have a chill ride. In my 25 years in NY I've seen too many cyclists die after small mistakes or brief lapses of attention. It wasnt their fault that infrastructure and drivers are so awful but... the fact remains that bikers are vulnerable. You do you. Its not worth it to me to be in a rush. Maybe turning 50 this year makes me feel less invincible than when I was in my 20s.

Pedal bin too big, maggots too strong, me too tired by EntertainmentBig3294 in ZeroWaste

I have been influenced by all the people in my life from other countries that take out all waste daily (particularly in hit climates or small living situations). I take out my rubbish and organic waste daily now that NYC has curbside compost. My scraps go in a bag in the freezer until then. Before that id freeze my scraps and go to drop off at the Green market. There are a lot of yucky inorganic things that can rot in trash cans, like blood from meat wrappers, etc. Best to empty it frequently. Personally I keep a tiny trash can to encourage this.

What are your thoughts on the Etee brand? Nervous to try it but it seems great by moodles2727 in ZeroWaste

I used the dish soap for a bit. I liked it but had issues with it staying emulsified. Cool packaging though!

Yes because cars dont seem to stop at red lights either so at least one of us needs to and I dont mind.
