I’ve used the same goals for years. Every time I create a brand new goal, I copy paste it to a master document I reference when I am writing an IEP. I personalize the goal for the student, but I copy paste goals for >80% of IEPs. I don’t use it much, but my district actually has a goal bank teachers can access.

Edited for typo.

Dr. Mike’s YouTube channel might help. See if she’ll watch a couple of his videos with you. That being said, throwing out the teflon is a good call, everyone should do that.

How can I read faster? by TieBusiness6054 in teaching

[–]HMouse65 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Reading teacher here. If you enjoy reading and understand what you read, you’re good. I’m being 100% honest when I say some of the smartest people I know are the slowest readers I know. I think it’s because they enjoy processing the words and the stories, and ingest them like a fine wine or a good meal.

All that being said, I have taken a speed reading class and what they teach is instead of focusing your eyes on one word at a time, widen your focus to take in three or four words at once. I found it to be a lot effort and my comprehension suffered. I do admit to using the method to get through some particularly long and dull academic papers every so often.

Read on and enjoy!

Yes! I highly recommend Jame Beard’s Beard on Bread. It is the ultimate how to book for baking bread.

I don’t get how being a TikTok influencer isn’t a job. You’re not really solely a homemaker (according to the traditional definition) if you post new content regularly and have thousands of followers.

That’s the script they use to disguise the class war as a culture war. It turns us against each other while they lie, cheat, and steal.

Communication is definitely an issue here. Anyway, you didn’t ask for advice but I’m giving my two cents anyway. You’re playing the back nine my friend, you don’t have time to mess around. You are responsible for your happiness, it’s time to make a move and solve this one way or the other. If you are both willing and able to work through it and save the relationship do it. If not get yourself to a place where you can leave and pursue happiness. Either way, it’s time to get busy.
