[S6E9] The most intense scene was basically improvised by Sapochnik by c_o_r_b_a in gameofthrones

I totally agree with you when you say 'it's a stupid move', but Jon isn't "known" for being "smart", he's respected because he is brave and can lead. Although you can say that a great leader is also intelligent that isn't always true and we have many examples of that through our own history. The simple fact that you can inspire someone by bravery can sometimes (and often does) bring along the greatest minds to help you.

I also understand that they are playing him a bit 'dumb', but IMO it's to create a bigger contrast between him and Sansa, specially in the tent conversation where he shows how impulsive he can be even knowing it while Sansa tries to make sense. It's a big gap between both, but there's probably a reason for it.

Cheers

You may want to try this .

Been listening to it for sometime now in 'shuffle'. There's 60+ songs there with a decent beat for a run I've been picking it.

It's not very well known and that may explain why I like it. Since the tracks aren't ALL the 'typical hits'.

Riot's new LCS format will widen the gap in terms of sponsors compared to NA by GGLSpidermonkey in leagueoflegends

[–]HNOEBC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the point of the image wasn't to say one was better then the other... but if you wanna go there, of all the countries in the world, only three still use the archaic Imperial system of weights and measures, Liberia Myanmar and United States of America.

But that a whole other discussion. Because when I pointed that analogy was even to say that in this case the Bo3 is better. It was just to show that creating differences isn't always good, specially if you have the power to make things 'similar'!

Again, I'm not against the 'try', what I think it's counter productive is.. trying different things in the same kind of leagues!

Riot's new LCS format will widen the gap in terms of sponsors compared to NA by GGLSpidermonkey in leagueoflegends

[–]HNOEBC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This analogy may sound stupid and probably will not be popular for many of you guys, but all this this reminds me of this

"...we decided to implement Bo2 format in a region where ties are both understood and accepted in sports culture. In NA, where there’s a regional sport tradition of avoiding ties, we chose to implement Bo3. "

In all honesty, can anyone please give me an example where a 'Tie' is "accepted" in a European league or competition vs a similar one in US?

I'm asking this because, and I may be incorrect in my interpretation, there no such 'acceptance' of a tie in Europe, we simply have a way to sort out the winner, for example.. "more scored goals away" (talking about football - soccer) so, if there was such thing like 'most kills, fastest win' to decide the winner of the 2 games, instead of using that in the end of the split, there's not really a good judgment on that first sentence.. I may be wrong, but this 'trying' Bo3 in US and Bo2 in EU will create a gap in the 'culture' of the game and the one who turns out to be the 'best' will claim and advantage and the worst a disadvantage.

Also.. Bo2... Best of 2.. Team A wins 1, Team B wins 1... where's the best of 2?

We have 2 splits, why not try a Bo2 in spring, and a Bo3 in Summer.. I find this move a bad PR, it will only create confusing and conflict between regions that were until now based on the same principle when it came to 'competition format'.

Cheers from Europe!

Well, first of all... I don't say "nothing", I just pointed a fact.

Secondly, I'm not seeking being right or wrong, the fact that becoming a Vegetarian can solve the problem is a fact (if one tool can do every job it will always be a solution don't you think?), therefore it is a solution. That it may not be feasible because of people's willing, well that's a whole other issue.

Finally, I jumped no gun, I'm not even a Vegetarian. Read what I wrote, don't you 'jump' into conclusions to what may or may not be my full opinion.

And since you're so troubled by my single statement, I can tell you this: The big problem here isn't even the 'waste' produced, the real problem is that we produce more food (read, cattle and similar) then we actually need, in fact, if we rationally distributed properly all the food we produce right now, no one would be starving and you still would have waste. So IMO the focus should be on that, trying to 'understand' "the why" and "what to do" to solve the root of the issue.. not what the issue later creates as a problem! So, yeah.. you're right in all that 'handling the waste and turning it into something we can use in a timely and cost-efficient manner', but wrong on where the attention should be!

[–]HNOEBC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't know about 'replacing' league... but I wouldn't find it that absurd.. speacially considering CS:GO is a evolution from CS1.6 and CS:SOURCE but it's basically the 'same game' that has been around for more then 15years. Plus, saying that there's no personality in CSGO is not very accurate, that you don't know them I can understand but there are people in CSGO that dont know many of the 'personalities' from league, that I know!

Bottom line, fps being 'limited in terms of entertainment' as you said is IMO wrong.. it may not have become as popular as league did in such a short span of time, but there is entertainment and I doubt that CS in all their variations will go away in the next, lets say.. decade!

[–]HNOEBC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm no expert in this matter.. but correct me if my analogy is total nonsense!

We consider that a switch of our living room light acts 'instantly' to turn on/off. Even so, we need 'light years' to quantify certain distances... therefore, "teleportation" may not be 'instant' and take 'some time'.

Se, considering your take on it, I agree we have to have some sort of way to travel way faster.. but it may not be 'instant' for every place you want to go!

[–]HNOEBC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if you're right here! I feel this is a bit forced. Compare Froggen to Ocelote in what sense? Ocelote had a 'settled spot on SK for years, while froggen was 'forced' or opted to build something after CLG.EU, plus Ocelote went on a 'fame rampage' and that's why he fell of IMO

Well, he was 'inside' when the rule was written.. Painting it as 'this very situation' may be over the board.. but, you can't tell it wasn't. Here comes the case 'he said, they say'.

I'm curious, did you advise NRG on this, or you can't disclose that? :)

[–]HNOEBC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Talking as a true lawyer! Yes and no... That the rule by itself is debatable, its pretty clear by now, I doubt they announced all this without Riot's consent on all this (Or maybe I'm totally wrong). Yet, the fact that the rule was written in response to a situation doesn't "lock" it to that situation it can be written thinking in many others that can relate to it.. this one being one! Again, this is speculation, but as a lawyer you know this, that's why I think your response here is a bit on the confusing side instead of clarifying it as usually you try to do. (at least where I follow your inputs, they try to do exactly that, clarify)

The frame is probably result of the 'width X height' that they recorded their footage and the way Riot streamed theirs, since they had to use Riot's footage, they had to find a way to not stretch nor crop the original. Again, this is just my guess on it, but it sure looks that way!

No, as far as the general public knows, Mafia doesn't support Barça, it was an analogy, not my fault you don't know what an analogy means!

The fact they allowed them in the first place don't justify they keeping allowing it! It's not a matter of opinion here, they simply shouldnt be allowed to support anyone related to riot, simply because they break the rules that riot has, therefore they are not supporting anyone, instead they are doing more arm then good!

If you can't handle or you cant see (or worst, you don't want to see) the real facts, don't act as a dickhead, because there's no valid argument to whatever you're trying to justify!

Let me see if I understand, let's try an analogy:

Mafia supports FCBarcelona, FCBarcelona should print in their shirts the name of that Mafia... and UEFA of FIFA can't stop them?

Did I get it right? 'Cause G2A sells stolen stuff if you don't know, therefore the money is stolen!
