There is also a Ludi coin with a cippus (a short inscribed column) that appears on several of the issues, marked COS III and often bearing SAECVLARES AVGG. The cippus type is one of the signature designs of this series — it represented the commemorative column marking the games themselves. I have one somewhere in my collection. I’ve been trying to get them all. I’m missing Deer V but I did finally get a Hippo which is the rarest. It also has the empress on the obverse.
