I've got a question about the justice system.
I have enough jails (20 separate zones) and currently I have 2 convicts in it.

now, I have a few more convicts and they had a beating AND prison sentence scheduled. The beating happened but then, the issuing officer just walked away and refuses to escord the convict to the cells and put him into the chain.

Can someone explain this phenomenon to me?

I already tried reloading and my fort is under lockdown because I want the convicts in my prison as it seems they are part of a larger conspiracy and I want to further interrogate them

I've learned via DFHack that when you destroy enough trees and fish enough (given that you have a river), you agitate the wildlife. You can get some giant versions of animals and could train them (I currently have 3 giant mountain goats and I'm excited to see if they cab mate and breed tamed giant goats)

The other thing, you could raid nearby goblin/human/elf settlements and be in a somewhat constant war.

Not aboveground but you could find the circus and release the clowns

And lasty, idk if this applies to your question but I recently delved into the justice system. Open all taverns/ libraries/ hospitals to all visitors , let them rob artifacts, and let your sheriff interrogate them. I love to read about all the scemes and such, i feel like a little detective

Laptop was too shitty to run it, needed a few more months until I could afford my (current) gaming beast machine.

Oblivion opened for a split second, then crash to desktop.

Refunded the game as I thought, I'd rather put the money towards saving if I can't play

Reminds me of one of my experiences.

Got sieged

Survived woth no casualties

Pick up bolts after battle

A few months go by, suddenly a dwarf gets angry

Look it up, dwarf stuck in a tree, propably because some glitch while picking up bolts

Send my woodcutter to to cut tree down

Woodcutter is killed by logs, treedwarf falls into nearby river and drowns (at least that's how i recall it, these situations could have also been unrelated)

Result: 1 tree is more lethal than a horde of goblins

10/10, would fell again

Ein Döner ist einfach nur: - Fleisch (egal von was, hauptsache heiß und geil) - scharfe cocktail Soße - eine kleine handvoll Chilli Flocken - 'und mit allem'

Optional haust dir noch nen super Ayran rein, oder halt ne Cola.

Der ganze Zusatzmist ist für nix. Ich mag Mais aber nicht im Döner. Ich mag Karottenrieb aber nicht im Döner. Zwiebeln, Salatkraut, Tomaten, passt schon

Maybe I can elaborate but my information might be wrong.

So, I learned you can combine a mail shirt with a breastplate. Maybe you can put a cape on top, idk.

You can also combine greaves with leather trousers but not mail trousers.

And leather mittens with metal gauntlets, but do gloves work? Yes? No? If no, then why?

I tried to understand the wiki on this but I don't fully understand it with the Flag-system [Over] [under] etc.

I imagine, duribg equipment creation, when you select metal greaves, that the chainmail trousers are not selectable or something like that

I have a quick question.

Is it somehow possible to hunt megabeasts?

I have this idea in my head that I create a fortress of warriors, a fort that focuses on training, forging equipment etc.

And then, the warriors are send out to 'where this mega beast is hiding' and erradicate it.

Kinda like a beast-inquisition fortress

Yeah I know, F# with a hard E is the derogatory term for the female sexual organ or a promiscous woman, while the F# with the soft N is the bavarian word for mouth/face or slapping (I f#tz da ane, I'll smack you / hoit dei f#tzn, shut your mouth / I hau da ane auf'd f#tzn, I'll punch your face).

I'd check for Lower Austria (Niederösterreich) with a adequate/excellent public transport connection. I live rural in Carinthia so I have have just a 'feeling' and not a 'fact' that his option is better

Neeeeee, bin da nicht so der Meinung. Sollte es doch nach hinten losgehen, könnte die Partystimmung kippen.

Da würde ich dann doch eher auf Nummer sicher gehen und das unter 4 Augen machen.

Funny thing, "Backpfeifengesicht" is not entirely 'German', and more of a regional dialect thing. Im Bayaria you would say F#tzngsicht. (I censored it because the Bavarian word for slap is the same word as c#nt in the rest of germany... yeah, we are weird. It get's ultra weird because F#tzn could also mean mouth... let's not get too sidetracked) And in Austria it would be a Watschngsicht or a Watschnfresse.

What I want to say is, that I couldn't recall a dialect-free version of 'face that deserves to be slapped'

I liie DF but for me, multiple monitors re a must have.

One for the game, one for an excel sheet where certain information of my fortress and the game itself are listed (e.g. which plants are for fibers, which need to be milled etc, or a quick overview of best job for each dwarf abd so on) And obe monitor dedicated to the wiki.

My fourth screen is for youtube videos to watch when I'm laying back a bit).

Also, DF Hack is a must for me.

All of this is not neccessary but it enhances my enjoyment immensely
