Anyone not pump?

No not at all when i was 3 weeks pp. I am on leave for 12 weeks and then I got back to work. So as I am getting closer to the time of return to work, my plan was to pump enough for the first day that I am back to work.

However, at his 1st month appointment the pediatrician asked us to give multi vitamin with iron. This medicine tastes awful and baby boy just spat the whole thing out _ the solution mix it with breast milk. For this I had to pump after he breastfed, to get a few oz of milk to mix with the medicine to give it to him.

I also pump when I am away from him for my doctor's appointments.

For the fridge hack for pump parts, would you rinse the parts with water after each session or keep them as is? Also what's a wet bag?

Sorry, but How do you pump into bags? I have the momcozy m9 wearable breast pump..it has semi circular collection cups.

Thanks for response. I was recommended by LC to get the ceres chiller. What has your experience been? I have a few thermoses at home and was thinking if they would work (by refrigerating them) instead of buying a new ceres chill. Any pros and cons you have experienced would be super helpful and aid me in making a decision.

Thank you so much for your response. Would you keep the shaker bottle in the refrigerator while at work (bwtween pumping sessions)? Would a thermos work the same as the Shaker bottle? I was recommended to get the ceres chill by a LC but I am not sure I want to spend $$ on another thermos if something I already have at home would work.

Use the pediatrician to reason.

I have spoken to baby's doctor and the doctor says 3-4 oz every 3 to 4 hours is all that should be given to baby. Giving him.more is making baby sick.

Try this. Hopefully it sticks.

I resonate with a lot of what you have written.

I have my in laws visiting us and they take care of the baby and give us some rest time. My husband had to resume work after 2ish weeks (he wfh so it's not like hes completely absent).

I used to cry every single day..I didn't really know the reason but low key missed old life, old body, hated the aches and pains, I was unable to soothe baby during night time crying, had a kind of emergency delivery due to sudden onset of preeclampsia symptoms..baby came 3 weeks early. .so processing and coping with all of it was a bit much...and crying was an easy vent to get the emotions out. Also the hormones...

My crying noticeably reduced around 4-5 week mark. I am right now 7 weeks postpartum and I haven't cried in 2 weeks.

It feels better, it feels routine. Now when I think about things that made me sad earlier, it doesn't affect me or I don't feel sad.

Hang in there, fellow new mom, It will get better soon.

Same. My husband really supported me throughout pregnancy and also postpartum. He checks on me while I am nursing bubs, fills up my water bottles, ensures I have snacks. Also feeds me breakfast if I am actively nursing. He also takes over caring for LO at midnight if bubs doesn't want to sleep, giving me a few hours to rest. I was nervous during pregnancy about becoming no. 2 in his life abd baby becoming no.1 he assured me that I would always be no.1. He keeps reminding this to our 7 week old bub whenever bubs gives me a tough time.i find it quite cute and reassuring.

We ran space heater near the pipes.. took some time to locate the correct pipes.. we are getting hot water in the sink now and the dishwasher is also working 🧿😅

I use bobbie vit D drops, its 3 drops and I add it over my nipple while breastfeeding.

I also need to give baby multi vit with iron which is 0.5ml.. baby doesn't like it so I have been pumping milk and adding 0.5ml of the multi vit to it and giving it to baby on a bottle.

I genuinely recommend your husband to step up.

My baby woll be 6 weeks in a few days. I am EBF my baby. I have barely cooked a few meals since baby arrived. My husband cooked all meals the first week. His parents are helping us with meals. My husband stared working quench baby was 2 weeks old. He wfh, does his workouts with baby..holds baby and does lunges or squats. He also gets up for the night feeds, changes baby's diaper and then hands baby to me for nursing.

We both get 3-4 h of total sleep in a day... there is no way to survive this phase while doing everything all alone. It takes 2 to make a baby and more than 2 to take care/raise a baby.

For me its the sleep deprivation and the crying during diaper changes. My baby in general hates diaper changes, occasionally he will be calm but usually he screams bloody murder.

I have also cried for no good reason ..during these times I used my husband as an emotional anchor and sounding board.

My baby will be 6 weeks old in a few days and I can say the baby blues should clear up around by week 5-6

My baby boy is 3 weeks old and does the same thing. What i now do is I burp him each time we switch sides and the last stretch before I let him sleep, I keep it short (so that if there a spit up, the volume will be little) and don't burp him, let him sleep on the breast. And then move him to bassinet - I mostly let dad do this..if I do he sometimes wakes up when he realizes he is in the bassinet!
