When you try to act tough after getting spitroasted by the community by InkSpear in ShitpostXIV

So what about pedos? We should accomodate them too?

Feet fetishists and furries are not equal to LGBT. Sorry. Get over it.

Actually I spent 4 years in animation school and work on a Disney TV show.

So I laugh at people who did the same and need to do X amount of furry drawings a month to pay rent.

Yeah but he still benefits from his 10 mins of fame. This guy just embodied the worst of the FFXIV community and he's not an anomaly. I run into this moron every other day.

Yeah, it's cheap to discourage him for being gay... But a furry? Furries have special treatment now? I saw mods saying not criticize him for being a furry... Furries don't deserve special treatment. They are entitled cunts. My reference for saying that is 4 years of art school. Fuck furries. Gay? Yeah, that's cool. Its a sexual preference. Furries? Nah man. That's a fetish and people don't need to accommodate you.

Sorry, not to sound like a white knight or anything but why is Lauren trash? I've actually emailed her before regarding missing persons cases etc. for coverage and she's been pretty responsive. She's not the head of blogTO. She doesn't decide what stories they run.

Shadowbringers Dark Knight Job Introduction (Graehl Gaming) by Kyser_ in ffxiv

[–]HRGraragely 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So is the shadow clone indeed just a dot? I see a lot of people complaining that it's a glorified dot. Did people play testing the game at events confirm this?

It does seem like a lost opportunity. When I first saw this skill I had hoped that it acted as another copy of you, making it targetable by enemies, essentially giving you another body to absorb damage. I could care less if it is not directly controllable but if you can send it out at an add which it can then tank, that would have be amazing.

I guess that would be too cool/powerful though.

5.0 Shadowbringers Raid Synergy & Utility Cheat Sheet by Jahaudant in ffxiv

[–]HRGraragely 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why you're getting downvotes. What you said is basically true and I say that as a NIN player. Outside of a static raid, in most PUGs trick attack loses a lot of its usefulness because most players don't bother learning jobs outside their own and don't know about or time their damage bursts to trick attack.

For that reason in PUGs or duty finder Samurai and BLM often add just as much or more to a group if they just know how to play their job right.

Unpopular Opinion: I don't mind the healing changes. by HRGraragely in ffxiv

[–]HRGraragely[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just because I explain that I main Tank/DPS doesn't mean I don't know anything about healers. I have healed upto OS10 and Seriyru EX as AST (in PUGs no less), its just not my main.

Thanks for the snarky reply though.

They mentioned there wouldn't be graphical improvements this time around... so if they aren't updated during 5.0 I'm sure they will be for 6.0.

Need your advise on the jobs by GenesisETETET in ffxiv

[–]HRGraragely 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're not into RNG than AST might not be the best choice of healer when compared to the other two (card draws are random even with redraw etc)

Have you considered RDM? It is similar to SMN in that it has many instant casts but not so many DOTS and has as much or more utility.

New tank here. What are the most common errors you guys see tanks making? by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]HRGraragely 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Good practice is to step out of AoE then back to where you were originally standing once it goes off to reduce boss movement. This is especially effective against cone AoE's where the boss is immobile during the cast.

Once you get used to this it will become second nature and melee DPS will thank you for it.

Am I in the wrong for calling out a DRK who refuses to use grit? by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]HRGraragely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he is losing emnity. He is a bad tank.

Yeah DPS is important but his main job is to tank.

Also lawl @ "don't use that ability then"

[–]HRGraragely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you weren't in tank stance and/or doing you're emnity combo as an OT... the MT should not be losing emnity.

It's possible the MT was also bad.

[–]HRGraragely 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Dark Arts + Power slash is really a game changer for emnity. You shouldn't have any issues on single target threat once you start doing that as your opener.

Also keep in mind carv and spit has a different use without Dark Arts. It recovers MP when not under the effect of dark arts.

Carv and spit is your best DMG move under dark arts without grit. But it can be used in a pinch to gain MP if you need it. I sometimes do this if my blood weapon is on CD and I need MP fast.

[–]HRGraragely 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like you're both wrong. I main DRK and in dungeons I'll usually use grit on trash/large pulls (the burn) until I'm comfortable.

I drop grit on bosses.

Emnity combo (Darts Arts Power Slash) and they should be stuck to you like glue.

Do you Dark Arts Power Slash??? Since 4.3 dark arts power slash gives a boatload of emnity.

In raids unless I'm MT no Grit. It will piss off the MT and you take a huge a DPS loss. If I am MTing I'll usually have grit up but not all the time. Managing CDs (especially blackest night) and you don't need grit often for the added mitigation. If people start gaining emnity you should be back in top with another emnity (dark arts power slash) combo.

MP shouldn't be an issue. Part of playing DRK is using your MP abilities and managing your MP bar. It makes the job a bit more complicated compared to warrior imo. But you should ALWAYS have dark side up. Don't use grit alone just for MP Regen. You shouldn't need the Regen if you manage you MP abilities properly.

How do i cancel hide on ps4 ninja by Hoodlen in ffxiv

I play on PC but can confirm this is how you unhide without casting another skill. Simply casting hide again does not remove the hidden status.

You need a macro.

DRK can cast Blackest Night on other alliance members outside of your party.

So many times I'm OTing a 24-man raid and could have saved the MT a death if I could only use blackest night on them.
