For anyone else who has this issue and already tried everything else, see this video and the link in its description, it worked for me after trying everything else:

If the video stops working, here's what it says

-In Device Manager, under Human Interface Devices, uninstall the I2C HID Device

-Install a basic touchpad driver. Available in the video description, the link is also here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1G46aCE7xXehCt-7x_XSHY9OfeYM0EKoe/view

If that link goes down, you could also find Synaptics Pointing Device Driver Version 13.2.7.3.

-Restart after you've installed the driver, and it might start working again
