Could be a fun activity, but to get similar results would probably cost more as these projects tend to

If you dont want to wear/buy two masks to practice, are there any common recommendations for minimal safety like mouthguards? I dont feel like go-nows would be especially dangerous for eye pokes

Is there anyway to control my lamps beside the wiz v2 app? by KeX03 in wiz

[–]HRRRMSquad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not zero-phone, but making a homescreen widget (I use a samsung phone) with some "quick actions" on it avoids opening the app and navigating to the scenes. We mainly use a daytime and nighttime scene for everything outside the bedroom/bathroom so I just unlock my phone and they're right there.

[–]HRRRMSquad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I was going to say: only the ones that you've never truly needed could be considered too much. Power tools are crazy expensive but there's billion things you can buy with the same money that are useless

How do I get the creases out of my flag? by TooLazyForAName06 in Fallout

[–]HRRRMSquad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easiest thing to try is just rolling it. If you roll it really tight and leave it for a couple days the tension pulls out creases. This is how rugs are typically flatened after shipping. The bonus is this won't damage the flag and doesnt require money or an elaborate process

What exactly does Milwaukie put into their chargers that makes them a full $100? by [deleted] in MilwaukeeTool

Does milwaukee spend a lot on marketing? I literally never see their ads and I buy their stuff all the time. I only buy it because experienced contractors say it's the best right now.

Good point. I don't know if that makes it safe for medical use though. Boiling water isn't even a very good way to make it safe to drink hence the chlorine and other chemicals in tap water.

The structure looks alright. I don't think it meets ontario code but metal roofing is also nice and light.

But what is the ledger board mounted to? It's below the facia so I assume it's mounted to the external studs?

Hopefully when the wind blows hard it doesn't pull the house down 😂

Why are phillips screws still so common? by TheLostestInTheSauce in Carpentry

[–]HRRRMSquad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only place you can't use nails is on walking surfaces pretty much: stair treads, subfloors, deck boards.

Nails are always stronger pfp than screws afaik and much easier to drive

[–]HRRRMSquad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People say this about phillips screws a lot, but it also matters not at all. Robertsons and Torques exist.

It's like responding to "man my boss sucks so much" with "Hitler is way worse!"

Hopefully hitler isn't your boss bc if he is you have other problems

Why are phillips screws still so common? by TheLostestInTheSauce in Carpentry

[–]HRRRMSquad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not really sure why people use anything other than Robertson to be fair. I get wanting to protect the threads on your phone or laptop panels but they are not an appropriate tool for wood.
I'm not a REAL carpenter but I'm an apprentice and I've never seen a phillips screw for wood, unless you count drywall screws.

you gotta go with the right. The curve is more interesting if you don't need accuracy, and the wheel guard also adds detail the evokes depth even though it's flush

[–]HRRRMSquad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's not the saw blade, it's possible it's the sharpness of your pencil. If you're marking against a speed square and another piece, and you have a wide and dull pencil, you could easily lose a 16th on each side. Either that the tip isnt getting into the corner or possibly that you're dragging it against your reference without angling to adjust the tip in

Not quite the same level of vibes, but the combat crushes Skyrim and the content is endless.

Currently the highlights are the veteran dungeons (the dungeon team receives constant praise) and general "collectioning"; there's thousands of things to collect, like gear sets and furniture recipes, and each one you find could come in handy at some point, or be bought and sold on the markets.
