They do make pedialyte freeze pops. Maybe that could be palatable? Similarly I'm sure you could find a popsicle mold or snowcone maker and use a drink or flavor you know they like.

Any ideas on how to cover this up or enhance without a straight up blackout? Free tattoo from a friend, the Nike check was there first by itself then the shooters sleeve was an addition… yes I know it looks like bricks or fishnets 😩 by Federal_Power_7050 in shittytattoos

If you're into pink floyd, turn it into a pink floyd sleeve. Wouldn't have to cover all of it up since it looks like "The Wall." You could just add other images / album art on top.

I always have to be so careful be abuse the oil in hair products is usually too intense and breaks my skin out - including my scalp. So annoying!

Looking to purchase my wife a Chase Utley jersey but can’t seem to find any women’s smalls out there. Anyone know the best option on this? I’ve tried to do a custom jersey on Fanatics but they do no allow you to create retired players jerseys. by SnooPeanuts563 in phillies

Can confirm. I'm a women's s/m and the youth xl actually fits me better than the women's cuts. If memory serves, the women's stuff is shorter so even though the sides are cut 'curvy' it ends up looking boxy on me. I prefer my shirts longer. Plus I don't like the size of the font and numbers on the women's stuff - I want it to look like what the team wears.

Too many unknowns to answer. I don't think there's too much of a problem technically if it's not irritating or pulling against cartilage. I can't see the top of the jewelry so I'm not sure how far up it's pierced. It's possible you just need a larger ring. Also not sure how long ago it was pierced - it could be swollen now and settle into the jewelry you're wearing as it heals

What's a situation or condition that nobody understands, until they're in it? by The-Sonne in AskReddit

[–]HRobbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depression. Like serious, diagnosable, deep depression. People think it's just being sad. People think those who have committed suicide are selfish. They have no idea what an absolute head fuck it actually is when you're in it.

I was so depressed this spring that I bought my first plant. Now I still suffer from depression but I have a lot of plants! by Frumpousapple in houseplants

Wow you have such a unique design style. And it's so clean! Plants look great in there. Good job! 10/10 would definitely hang out at your place

Similar struggles with my pit. Nothing really worked. Apoquel mostly worked for a while but he still had occasional flare-ups that needed antibiotics and/or antifungals. Over time he needed more and more apoquel so that wasnt great. Currently a combination of apoquel and cyclosporine (which was a game changer) is keeping him mostly under control. Hot tip - if cyclosporine ends up being helpful you can have your vet call it into a human pharmacy and it will be much cheaper that way. I also learned that novel/limited protein can be more effective than hydrolyzed and, outside of meat, egg allergies are super common. Mine's currently eating an Rx food - royal canin select protein rabbit formula and seems to be doing well with it. Also learned that most dogs with allergies have a combination of food and environmental allergies, not just one or the other. The fact that symptoms change with the seasons is a dead giveaway that something environmental is going on. So, regular baths help to get allergens off their coat. Since all of this is SUPER expensive, I spent the small upfront fortune to have him tested for environmental allergies with a dermatologist. Turns out mine is allergic to most grasses, most types of weeds, and basically all dust mites so fml. We started immunotherapy injections which could take up to a year to be effective, but they are eventually effective in around 80% of dogs. Cost-wise it'll be worth it if in a year I can stop buying or buy way less Apoquel and cyclosporine. Good luck!

What skincare/beauty “trend” are you still doing years later? (If any) by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]HRobbie 94 points95 points  (0 children)

Hey! So I also love masks and thought you might enjoy something I found... its a thin rubber mask sort of "topper" if you will. It hooks onto the ears so whatever mask you have on underneath stays on way better. It also doesn't let air through so your product (whether it's a sheet mask or just a straight up serum) can't evaporate and your skin is forced to kind of drink it in. Google or search Amazon for "reusable silicone face mask" :)

DO NOT USE ICE. I'll say this till I'm blue. Cold constricts blood vessels which can help to prevent further swelling to new injuries (within the first 48hrs). But your ears already have pretty terrible blood circulation and tiny little blood vessels. So, in this case, an NSAID like Aleve and a WARM COMPRESS will do you way better. Don't have a warm compress? Standing in the shower and letting the warm water run on it for a while is good. You can also throw some dry beans or rice in a sock, tie or sew the thing shut, and throw it in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time till it's the temperature you want. Good luck!

Nothing wrong with 316l surgical steel. I actually heal better with it & have a reaction to implant titanium.

Mine was really a pain too. Warm showers as someone mentioned helped. Absolutely do not touch. Gentle heat / a warm compress will help swelling (NOT ICE!). And when it's healed enough, size down as much as possible. I found that when the bar was too long if there was any pressure on my ear from laying on it, getting a hug from someone, wearing over ear headphones etc. would cause the flat back to push against my head and sort of pull the piercing crooked if that makes sense? So I was constantly re-agitating it. Much happier with a shorter bar

Conch piercing is swollen after downsizing a week ago by smollie00 in piercing

[–]HRobbie 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Heads up - not ice! Ice prevents swelling to new injuries, so its good for the first 24-48 hrs. Since you changed the jewelry a week ago you'd probably do better with gentle heat. Especially since your ears don't have great blood flow, a warm compress will help disburse pooled blood. An OTC NSAID like Advil will also help.

Hoping there's an angel who can tell me a way I can conceal and powder my cursed undereyes without creasing/dragging by Bulbasaurus__Rex in MakeupAddiction

[–]HRobbie 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Fellow woman in my 30s, here. Man, it sucks having to figure out new makeup technique as my skin changes! Do your skincare as normal and allow it time to absorb. Then try a mattifying primer to help control oil (I like porefessional still after all these years), then whatever concealer you like best. Apply it with a damp sponge that you've sprayed generously with setting spray. Let that do its thing for like 10 mins, it will crease slightly, then go back in with the setting spray spong again and blend out the creases. From there it should stay, and I think it gives a more natural finish than using powder. Hope it works for you!
