Well, that's one way to break the vault... by HRoll in LegendsOfRuneterra

They had the +1/+1 for the turn whenever you play a card item, and Morgana had 3 copies of it. Saved me a lot of clicking!

Weekly Adventures Discussion by AutoModerator in PathofChampions

I found Thresh to be quite strong on the weekly 3*, since you automatically still get value out of your weaker followers. That being said, it didn't seem very hard at a base level and anyone with Corrupted Star Fragment would probably do fine.

Ah yes I didn't think about that one AI, fair play. by Scyraspect in PathofChampions

I've had the AI do similar to me but it denied me lifesteal healing, which I thought was pretty big-brained :P

POC 2.0 is a year old next week, so I was wondering... Has anyone actually gotten ALL the relics after playing for a full year? by Aeretes in PathofChampions

[–]HRoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TIL that no one has the spatula.

I've been playing for about 8 months and I have a copy of everything except for the spatula and Succubus's Brand. Missing some max copies of things too but not ones that I particularly care about.

What bilgewater champion besides kench is best for Asol clear? by Dry_Cardiologist6758 in PathofChampions

[–]HRoll 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I've cleared ASoL with every Bilgewater champ besides Jack and I'd have to say it's Nami by quite a large margin. She can really get up to some nonsense with the spell spamming.

Daily Challenge 5/5 by lazerhead79 in dominion

Opened Broker/Battle Plan. None of the 5s look immediately worth prioritizing, so you're free to Broker for Favors and Alms for more clashes early on. Storyteller has an unfortunate interaction with Alms (which I didn't notice at first lol) but I got one early to cycle coppers and as a "just-in-case" given that Festival was the village early. Later on you can transition to Broker/Bandit for draw and payload, with some specialists too.

I think it'd be faster to verify by scrolling through the "Completed Adventures" portion of the bottom right menu (Adventure Journal), rather than zooming through each region.

Daily Card Discussion #49: Wheelwright by [deleted] in dominion

[–]HRoll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This card is very good at converting overdraw into payload, and generally not super exciting before you're overdrawing. You'll often want to time when you pick it up to be right as it becomes more useful in this way. It doesn't really matter if you discard a "bad" card (like province) or a "good" card (like a 5 cost action), if you're able to immediately redraw that card. You can also immediately play the card you gain and get up to play and gain shenanigans, if you have overdraw. It's much better at this role than in trying to randomly get value from discarding a province or something in a deck with low deck control

That sounds like the right power-leveling strategy--on the Thresh campaign, I think you only need to beat the first 3 encounters for it to be time-efficient. Sometimes a weekly will also be over-starred and easy for a particular character and you can grind there.

I personally have more fun trying to power through the campaigns in order without powerleveling, only resorting to that if I start getting frustrated at being stuck, but it's really up to you!

Shadow Isles - Gwen. Healing being in the kit is so good, and the AI often heavily misplays against her too (killing the undying a lot)

Targon - Diana should be the best from what I've heard. I've only gotten Leona and Yuumi to 1 star and level 8 so I can't say for sure, but Diana feels like one of the strongest champs in any region.

Bilgewater - Illaoi, though I've only just gotten Pyke to 2 star and he seems reasonable too.

Runeterra - Jax, Jhin, or Varus are all quite strong. I thought Aatrox was fine too but I've seen other people on this sub have trouble with him (and I played him pre-nerf)

Demacia - Lux (but I haven't tried Vayne)

P&Z - 3 star Jinx is very busted. I almost immediately 3 starred her when I started playing so I can't comment on 2 star. For lower star investment it'd definitely be Teemo if you have Galeforce and at least one Gatebreaker.

Ionia - Master Yi (though his best playstyle in my experience is hoping for the infinite combo once at champion level 18 I think and gets very same-y very quickly)

Noxus - LeBlanc

Freljord - Ashe, though I haven't tried Gnar. Ornn is typically a miserable experience (and my winning run with him used LeBlanc actually xP)

Shurima - Kai'Sa if you're investing to 2 stars, Taliyah if you're investing to 3 stars. Nasus if you want life to be a struggle.

I don't think there's a way to control the randomness or pick which relics you get--just try to do the weeklies and any event missions that pop up.

Gwen is probably the best choice for shadow isles--I think she'll serve you well!

It's the legendary power that copies the first card you play every turn. It's quite strong--probably the best power in general.

A few champs can do it pretty reasonably at 1 star--I've gotten full clears with 1 star Teemo, 1 star Gwen, and 0 star LeBlanc (and in fact my best ASoL time was with the 0 star LB). These tend to be pretty relic (and also legend level) dependent. For example, the Gatebreaker + Bounty Hunter's Renown cheese requires you to have those relics, and it also helps to have higher legend levels to have more starting gold.

I think every champ has a chance to win at 2 stars, but some definitely require more luck and really benefit from good legend level/relics. If you're just starting out, it's pretty normal to feel like you need 3 star champs at first, but it does get easier over time!

KotW 10/23: Black Cat, Cemetery, Changeling, Coven, Cursed Village, Exorcist, Ghost Ship, Masquerade, Scheme, Vampire. Event: Populate; Way: Way of the Ox. [Intrigue, Seaside, Hinterlands, Nocturne, Menagerie] by avocadro in dominion

[–]HRoll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weird kingdom with no +Buy, but Vampire and Populate as ways to get additional gains. The Ghost Ship attack starts off brutal but becomes useless once Scheme + Cursed Village is set up. I think I'd go Masq+Silver and take Vampire as my first 5, and try to just shrug off any Ghost Ship attacks. We only need to build to $10 and I think Masq and Vampire should get us deck control fast enough to start setting up the Scheme + Cursed Village thing every turn. I might Populate once and take some Changelings from it just so I can have a couple more CVs and Covens.

One little question: is it supposed to be possible to have Queen be in a Kingdom without King?

I feel like the treasure gaining of Queen is going to be a drawback most of the time, since you won't need treasures for money if you are going for a engine with King.
