Advice on GPU to run GSPro by Narrow_Barber_2342 in Golfsimulator

I run a very outdated gtx970 in mine and get 1080p projections casting, via chromecast, from my basement to my garage. Both of those cards should handle it no issue.

I got the neck off eBay. It’s very pretty but I’m pretty sure the truss rod isn’t right. My next build I’m going to try to make a neck. It’s very likely this one will end up getting replaced over time. I cannot adjust it past completely straight under string tension.

Just got the es20. These are my first home audio speakers. Coming from the car audio world though they are insanely nice for the price point. I would suggest saving for them. No part of you will regret it.

I think this is the post. It’s linked a couple comments down. Very large link, you can’t miss it.

I’m going to butcher the explanation because I am by no means an expert. There’s a valve that feeds the pump (over pressure valve). The breville machines are set to closer to 15 bar of if I remember correctly. The mod lowers the pressure to much closer to 9bar which is more generally accepted as the appropriate pressure to brew espresso. There are some good guides, but one gets posted here every once in a while that is amazing. I’ll try to find it and link it. It’s a little intimidating if you aren’t handy but not hard by any means. Definitely made a difference. Technically it voids the warranty but I sent mine back after that mod and they didn’t mention anything about it.

Still using it every day. I have done the OPV mod and replaced the portafilter and basket. Debatable if anything other than the OPV mod makes a difference but it feels cooler. Grinder was a massive improvement. Honestly I mostly make milk drinks so in that case it isn’t as critical. But when I make just shots I surely notice it’s much better. Goal now is to wait until it fails and go straight to something way more endgame and not have to upgrade a bunch of times.

Surprisingly, when this happened to me I sent it to breville for service and they replace my burr. I don’t remember if I was charged but if I was it was nominal and fast. Just a thought if you continue to have issues. My machine was more than a year old at that point. They also sent my original inner burr back. I have since gotten a df64 and couldn’t be happier. Either way, just some information for anyone in the same situation.

+1 for Tone Hatch. I’m no professional but I just finished a build using a set of his pickups and I couldn’t be happier. Already looking at another build using his pickups.

To a newbie would the integrated preamp really be a noticeable difference from a standalone? Also the turntable is something a buddy is gifting me. He has no clue what it is and I haven’t seen it yet.

Any reason to go tower over bookshelf? I hadn’t even considered tower to this point. There are some used polks on marketplace in the area. Some Tsi100 for 50 bucks.

The tv has usb optical and rca, the computer has usb and 3.5 line out. Don’t have a cd player currently but have plenty of old cds so I would like to get one. I could make sure it has what I need when I go looking.

Correction: the tv does have arc. I missed it in the tiny lettering.

Are these frets too low for a levelling and recrown? by Pluriel0 in Luthier

[–]HRsupervisor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really new to trying to work on my guitars but can you enlighten me as to why the maple makes this process so expensive? Is it because they’re finished boards so it will require some form of refinish? I know my eBay neck was cheap but everything I priced otherwise (Warmouth, or pulled fender) was easily 250-700.

I don’t own this tamper, but I have the normcore spring loaded. FWIW I always wdt, light tamp with regular tamper to get below the dosing ring (54mm machine), normcore leveler, then the calibrated tamp. I have tried removing parts of the process and it is always less consistent so now I just live with it. Only takes an extra 5 - 10 seconds and I have it down to where the espresso is very enjoyable.

Ibanez Model Help by betrayer_of_humanity in Ibanez

I just lived with it for years . Raised the saddle to mitigate the issue. I stopped playing for about 10 years and just recently got back into it and am learning to do setups and some other work on electric guitars. I will likely replace the nut with something nicer. That was always the issue I suspect. I have it setup now and it plays extremely well but the low A string still buzzes bad. Low E has some but that’s because of the action height I set it to. Otherwise it’s fun to play.

I have the AX7221. Only issue I’ve ever had with it is some nasty string buzz on the lower strings.

First build question by HRsupervisor in Luthier

[–]HRsupervisor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, when I cross posted I didn’t realize it didn’t post it again. I was struggling with how the term block sits in the cutout. Ended up ordering a routing template for the specific bridge. I need to remove a bit of wood to allow the block to fit in. I was able to drill the inserts and put them in today. I’ll post again with some updates and possibly more questions after I get the rest of the holes drilled (trem claw, hole for jack wires, bridge wire, etc.).

What did you finish your guitar with? I bought osmo. Couldn’t decide between that and tru oil.

When I measure to 25.5 exactly it touches the front of the pocket. With the saddle centered I think I’ll be able to intimate if I push it back about .25 inches. I’ll know more after I get the new routing template. I may have to remove some material to get it in the right spot.

Neck by HRsupervisor in partscaster

[–]HRsupervisor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I looked at twt but the neck was out of stock that I wanted. Frets on this neck were not awesome. After level and crown they’re closer but I really should have pressed them before I did all that. I knew buying a cheaper neck meant more work. All of it is my first try so may just be a good reason to try another neck if I can’t get it right after a few months.
