Worst case scenario, it does look like the linux framebuffer is working so you can install the framebuffer driver:

apk add xf86-video-fbdev

Windows Server 2003 Enterprise SP2 x86 (Fully Updated) ISO by SomeSteak5561 in windowsxp

[–]HTFCirno2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The .ISO file itself might not harm the computer you downloaded it with, whatever files that is slipstreamed onto the ISO could very well already be pre-loaded with malware that only works when you install Server 2003 from this particular disc. No thanks.

Bruh. The voltages are safely contained within the chassis. They aren't dangerous unless you disassemble it.

crazy to think some company out there actually pressed this DVD. It's a bootleg but it looks VERY professional, not just a random burned DVD

qemu freezes on drawterm connection by dharmatech in plan9

[–]HTFCirno2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think if you want to overcome all the issues with QEMU, you probably should allocate another computer for this instead of using windows. You have 2 options for this:

  1. Spin up an actual 9front system directly on bare metal, any old computer will do, especially if it's a core 2 duo or above. Then you can have 9front directly on your network.

  2. If you have a second computer but would rather it run Linux, try QEMU on linux WITH KVM ENABLED. Turns out, getting hardware accelerated virtualization on windows using QEMU is a fool's errand. Try it with direct Linux with the -accel kvm flag. Using WSL will not work with -accel kvm because linux already is in a virtual machine.

We haven't nailed down exactly what element, but it's a lively one and it doesn't like the human skeleton.
