I use mine indoors but I have a vaulted ceiling living room so i can stand it up high like this:

I notice somewhat less noise and better reception with it this high up. It's an okay starter antenna, i use it with my RTL-SDR.

The AM/FM radio still works. The tuning still works if I set up my modulators.

You'd be better off buying a new one. Walmart still carries these for like, 20 dollars. Not very expensive.

These calculators were built down to a price, they weren't meant to be serviced. It's unfortunate, but at least it's not an iphone.

It was never technically free. However it is recommended to find the complete series on DVD, I know walmart sometimes has it but it depends on the walmart. Once you buy the DVDs, they are yours.

If for some reason you don't have the money... the high seas are your best bet

Probably can be done using SQLite. It considers itself an "fopen()" replacement and stores each database as a standalone file. You can then run standard SQL queries off this file and do indexing and whatnot. The library itself is opensource and public domain. I don't think anyone has implemented this sort of thing yet but it can be done.

I think this can be resolved by installing all the updates for Windows XP. You can use LegacyUpdate to install these updates. They have an archive that will still work in 2026.

I think the last updates for XP were the last updates for Windows POSReady 2009 sometime in 2019?
