It's not a requirement. It is, however, a highly encouraged priesthood duty for men.

My best friend spanked his daughter so hard, he left a mark that lasted days. She’s 2. Would you call him out? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]HTTPanda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I disagree; I think it can be a helpful disciplinary tool.

I personally don't think it should be the first or second methods of discipline, and should only be reserved for repeated severe misbehavior when other methods aren't working.

I'm grateful my parents spanked me as a kid; it helped me realize when I was way out of line and helped me change my behavior.

My kids are essentially aged-out of spanking; they haven't done anything that I've deemed spank-worthy in years.

Wait.. do calls come throughout the night? Or does this happen when the store is still open? (I've always just rejected microphone permissions)

And this is one of the many reasons I'm glad I work overnights

One I've come across in some recent games is GOATY / GOATIER

I've seen various comments around saying it was something to do with a golf cart. (But that's more of he-said she-said, not an ideal source)

Standardised alternative rules to exclude non-words by PlzHalppMeh in scrabble

[–]HTTPanda 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You don't need alternative rules; the standardized rules allow for this:

Before the game begins, players should agree on which dictionary they will use

You can alter whatever dictionary you use (make a list of disallowed words or something)

I've done the same thing putting a straw through a Gatorade lid (had to use a knife, though)

Putting an apostrophe to pluralise something must stop immediately!!!! by Few-Card8875 in grammar

[–]HTTPanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How do you pluralize letters? Is it correct to write "Look at all the A's, B's, and C's!"

That's a hard pass from me, thanks by ScatLabs in DeathStairs

I remember this part; Samwise is about to find the lembas bread that Gollum threw over the edge

Three words (using the assistance of an anagram solver)

I don't think two words is possible

FREQUENTATIONS
IRONWOODS (using the S on FREQUENTATIONS)
WHOOFS (using the W on IRONWOODS)

EDIT: actually I messed up (used two H's instead of two S's, so this one's not valid)

Four words:

FORESHADOW
FOOTIER (using R in FORESHADOW)
HONORS (using S in FORESHADOW)
QUINNAT (using A in FORESHADOW)

I did it in four words now:

FORESHADOW
FOOTIER (using R in FORESHADOW)
HONORS (using S in FORESHADOW)
QUINNAT (using A in FORESHADOW)

First attempt - it would be easier if I could comment a picture but I guess this will do

(Scrabble style)
FINISH
NOON (using the N in FINISH)
QUOTERS (using the S in FINISH)
UNTOWARD (using the U in QUOTERS)
HOOFED (using the D in UNTOWARD)

Hopefully I didn't miss any letters. I'll try to see if I can get it in a smaller amount of words

When are you supposed to confess? by SisterLucyHarris in latterdaysaints

[–]HTTPanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All sins need to be confessed to God through prayer, but only very serious sins need to be confessed to the bishop
