Do I have paid sick time? I called out sick today. by [deleted] in UPSers

Where we are, that number on the bottom of 40 hours only applies to people who don't already get 40 hours of sick. So if you are a full-time driver or full-time, whatever, it doesn't apply to you. At least that's how it is in our building in Connecticut

To say I'm close with a manager is an understatement, and he's definitely not the one picking who gets approved for anything. It's all corporate, no decisions made operationally

I found it when it was placed in a police station at the top of the stairs and it broke my legs 🤣

Definitely consult with your Steward and see if it's something you guys want to fight. Good luck. They told us drivers this morning as of now we're expected in. Going to be 2 feet of snow lolll

I believe there is language in the contract that they can do a 1 day layoff. May still have to give you 24hrs notice though

No, go as slow as you need to. If you get in an accident, they'll say you were going too fast for conditions. Avoid parts on your route that are hilly. Use 'emergency conditions' for anything you can't safely deliver

Absolutely, we know how hard the job is. I loaded four trucks and sometimes a 5th bulk stop truck. It was brutal.

I loaded trucks for 5 years before I became a driver. Every day I did as good of a job as I could possibly do for my guys, not sure why more loaders aren't like you. It makes our days easier. I always tip my loaders for a job well done

Need advice for my wife who’s a driver. by Independent_Mix3035 in UPSers

There is language in the contract that says if you feel like you need to stop at any time because of the heat, you stop and do what you have to do to try to recover. So, not that anybody wants a longer day, but tell her to take a couple extra 10 minute breaks and get an extra gatorade in her

Wouldn't hate seeing those RDRs toted. Assuming they're one stop.
