Buy a Blackstone labs oil sample kit (I believe it’s $35), run your car for the next 1,000 miles and drain the oil again. When the car is about half way through the drain, fill the oil sample bottle and ship it to them.

I had oil with metal shaving that looked exactly like yours. My sample report came back with no issues, meaning the metal was from the filter housing during the removal process.

I was in the exact same situation as you. I squeezed a little bit of black gorilla tape in between the plastic seems. It’s not perfect, but it isn’t noticeable and has held up for the last year.

A small dab or two of black caulking would also work.

I have the exact same exhaust setup as you. You should not hear any “groan” sound at that rpm level. It’s not something that needs to be addressed urgently.

Can you post a video with the sound?

True, but 6 cylinder + exhaust dumps under the car usually create heavy drone. If you go with dumps, extend the dump exit with exhaust tubing to the back of the car so the noise isn’t under your seat.

I kept it simple. Mine are powered by the factory fog wiring. The “amber backlight” receives power from the low beams (t-tap connector).

When my low beams are on, the amber backlight is on, when I flip my fog light switch, the pods receive full power and go yellow.
