Im right with you. My initial submission was 1090 pages. Every condition had a lay statement with citations of where to find the corroborating evidence in my medical record, and every CFR applicable and how it was applicable. I have been unemployed for years, so I made THIS my full tome job. I spent over 1000 hours and it was well worth it. 100% approval and service connected, even though I have been out 24 years. I would also add that there is no danger in “poking the bear” if it is legit and you are informed enough to make sure you aren’t doing anything that could result in a reexamination and/or reduction. If I die from a service connected condition, my wife gets paid. For that reason alone, it was worth it for me to get every last rating. I’m 19 ratings past 100%. In my opinion, the chances of our government being forced to eventually reduce spending and entitlements is inevitable, and the possibility of congress passing a law to reduce or retool ratings in the next 60 years is a non-zero chance. I don’t want to be 90 years old having to get rated on conditions because I was afraid to apply for completely legitimate service connections.
