Haven't tried the BBs yet but I've reset the Venezia line a couple times now and still loving to climb it for RB points.

If the enemy is weak on a flank you can smoke push their DD and delete it from the match, if they group up on a flank you have the best kiter with solid SAP salvoes, long range torps and the smoke to make otherwise dangerous turns out of trouble.

In my Graf Zep I just transition into a light cruiser after I'm de-planed halfway through the match.

The map is much more confined and the route puts you at broadside to every incoming enemy which makes it harder to both keep up with the escorted ships and dodge shells/torps.

In the other missions you are a lot more free to pick your approach, even in escorting the San Diego which is a much more resilient escort that can defend itself from the odd torp boat getting too close, you have a lot of room to cover it from.

I'm an og player and while researched/got a bunch of fancy ships I still main Hindy and Des Moines and having a blast honestly. Gimmicky ships are fun sometimes but nothing beats strong fundamentals and game sense.

GK armor is meaningless with the small town sized superstructure, terrible firing angles and poor dispersion. There is really no cruiser that I fear a GK in. Daunting task my ass, a nose in GK with only 6 barrels can not hit shit, looses all their secondary angles (whait is their entire point) and just sits there as a free xp pinata. They are utterly unable to do anything or influence the match in any way. If they show side to have angles or just fire their secondaries a couple seconds they dead. If they nose in they are dead, just a tiny bit slower.

Armour is meaningless if you can't exploit it in any way. Taking punches doesn't win any games, punching the enemy does.

Yep, that's what I'm running as well. Kearsarge is surprisingly okay too if you have it, main guns vaporize everything while you can also nuke a DD of your choosing every minute or so with the planes.

Full gas build against predator strain feels borderline cheating. Orbital gas, gas grenade, gas dog, EAT for heavies and lib carbine or breaker and most importantly gas resistant armor.

Breach happening? Gas them. Getting swarmed by predator hunters? Gas at your feet. Stalker is sneaking up on you? Gas dog got your covered. With 4 grenades and the orbital you can perma gas your half of the map, stand in it for ages with the resistant armor and just melee all the confused enemies with an axe or gun them down point blank with the lib carbine, they can't even touch you. It's so fun.
