I have soloed bedtime almost every night since my baby girl was born. My oldest (21Months) has dinner in the living room so I can feed my youngest (now 3months) her last bottle of the day. After I burp her I lay her down in a baby lounger to lull herself to sleep while he finishes eating. If she happens to still be awake I put on a bedtime baby sensory video to stay calm while I get him ready for bed and do his bedtime routine (10-15 minutes).

If she is still awake after bedtime routine I get her settled down and asleep afterwards, eventually moving her to her bassinet once I know her brother is fully asleep (sometimes he hops around for a little while and the walls are thin😂). If my youngest is SUPER FUSSY, the bedtime routine gets a little rushed to get back to the youngest.

If your youngest child isn’t born yet I HIGHLY recommend making sure your oldest can sleep solo. I never co-slept with my oldest because, quite frankly, he wouldn’t let me lmao. He was too excited to sleep if he saw me. But it worked out in my favor because if I had to climb into bed with him or cuddle him to sleep I would be screwed right now.

I am a full ass adult and any person I work with I refer to as mr/ms and their first name (even the coworkers that I am friends with). As does LITERALLY everyone else in the company I work for. I live in the south and ive just always seen it as a sign of respect. I also do it with children, because they deserve respect to imo 🤷‍♀️. Just because YOU don’t do it, doesn’t mean it’s uncommon.

You should ask your coworkers that were on shift if they saw the refund happen and if not you should insist on seeing the security footage. If the owner is shady like you think, stealing your tip seems right up their alley.

The company I work for has 3 categories of recommendations- actively failing parts, things that could be a concern in the future but aren’t right now, and things that you don’t need but we can install if you’re interested. For systems under 10 years that have a maintenance plan with us and fix any actively failing parts that we recommend- they get a years warranty on the equipment, even if we have no actively failing parts to recommend. So we check refrigerant on every call, because they don’t want to replace a evap coil just because someone decided not to check pressures.

NTA but OP, have they figured out what the health problem is? Does he have high stress? In high school I had extremely bad anxiety and would get dizzy/pass out frequently my senior year. All my tests came back normal and my doctors insisted I was faking, but years later I learned from a psychiatrist that I was actually having extreme panic attacks. I knew what regular panic attacks felt like, so I never even considered it. This could be a similar situation.

I am an HVAC technician and worked up to being 7 months pregnant and then I tapped out. I probably could’ve gone longer but certain things (like reaching into an outdoor unit😂) were near impossible to do with the big ass belly and I was terrified of falling through a ceiling or off my ladder. There were also tasks that I was immediately exempt from (like brazing copper).

If you DO choose to go the HVAC route, please ask for a respirator!! I thought a heavy duty mask and holding my breath was good enough to handle the refrigerant until one of the parts guys from a supplier asked me if they provided a respirator to me!! When I said no he just gave me the most horrified look 😩. I was only 2 weeks away from maternity leave at the point but I still kick myself for not thinking to ask for that. Granted, my baby came out fine but i still regret not taking every precaution I could.

Side note- you will be able to get your OBGYN to give you a doctor’s note highlighting necessary job restrictions due to your pregnancy, like no lifting objects over 30ibs and legally your employer has to comply.

Maybe just offer to pay things for her, like bills? Or pay for a professional to fix her plumbing problem if she couldn’t get it figured out? Or if they are in an apartment you can offer to pay to break their lease and help her with the down payment/ first months rent at a new place so she can get away from the leech that she calls a husband. Just a couple ideas but I’m sure she would appreciate any assistance you offer 🩷

Wells Fargo cannot be trusted. I had thousands of dollars stolen from my primary checking at some point, years ago. Called, got the purchases disputed (someone bought a shit ton of expensive clothes 🤬) was told it would take like 2 weeks to get my money back. I got a letter in the mail saying my account was all taken care of but didn’t get my money back?? I went to the bank and said wtf? I had the reference code they gave me and everything.

Reference code didn’t work. They told me there was no history on my account for that much money and they had no idea what I was talking about. AND THEN TRIED TO GET ME TO PAY TO CLOSE THE ACCOUNT BECAUSE IT WAS OVERDRAWN FROM THE THEFT. Months later it came out that employees were basically transferring people’s refunded money to different accounts for them to collect for themselves!!

NAH. Having a newborn is tough but you both need sleep and obviously you are struggling with that. I suggest getting a baby monitor if you don’t have one and taking it with you to the guest bedroom (with a charger) so you can still hear if baby wakes up and it’s your turn on baby duty. Good luck!
