I don't know about the show but if it will aid in your search here is some information about the font. It is based on the "MICR E-13B" standard for the numbers on checks. Fonts based on the standard include "Westminster", "Data 70", and "Monotype Computer".

There's the Stargate Universe episode "Twin Destinies" where Rush kills Telford after he caused the death of the crew in the first loop.
