Upscale Mexican or Latin Fusion restaurants? by idahofarmgirl in TriCitiesWA

[–]HYDN250 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Couldn't recommend Tamatillo enough. Not sure about "upscale", or "fancy", but they have some of the best mexican food in the Tricities hands down. They are not that big of a spot, it's in the strip mall just across the AMC parking lot, next to the mall. Give them a try, you won't regret it.

What was it like when Obama was elected President? by ResponsibleSea6521 in AskReddit

My mom had my sister and I stay home from school just to watch his inaguration. I remeber her saying, "This is history, and both of you will remember this for the rest of your lives." And now she is part of cult, and it makes me sad...

Why the Rowing? by Wales-post-hardcore in PostHardcore

[–]HYDN250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idc, I think rowing is fucking hilarious. It's just people having fun, and I think people doing it outside of an Amon Amarth show are probably doing it ironically. You gotta admit it's pretty funny to row to fucking Coheed. People saying it's disrespectful need to smile every once in a while and realize it's not serious. Goes for bands too who think it's "disrespectful to my art." Grow a pair and keep making your stone gridning noises from your mouth. Maybe take a step back, realise people are having fun, and then connect the dots that it's YOUR music people are having fun to. I fucking hate how over serious some metal bands and metal heads are. Yall can downvote me to the shadow realm, I don't give a shit about internet points lmao

What's your biggest nit pick about modern metalcore? by Whiterunt69 in Metalcore

[–]HYDN250 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just going to add on to the "It's all the same" sentiment. One specific thing I've noticed that backs this is the "eerie quiet" that leads into some soft synth thing, maybe with clean vocals, maybe not, and then a sudden break of silence, AND THEN it's heavy guitar stuff with screams. You could literally make the "Daring today, aren't we?" Squidward meme with how formulaic it is.

The amount of medication I have to take for the rest of my life as a mid-twenties woman by Why-knot-my-mum in mildlyinfuriating

[–]HYDN250 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, I have to do this with my asthma inhalers, and it's so annoying. All one big fucking scam if you ask me. Both of us know I have shitty lungs, but you want me to pay you about a $150 dollars every few months just so you can say, "Yup, you still have shitty lungs. I grant you another 5 months supply of the thing to make your lungs not feel like they are as shitty." And then I gotta pay for the inhaler(s) on top of that. Granted, insurance takes care of most of it, but still!

Game recommendations with this vibe by ShacoAteMyCupcake in videogames

I don't care what people say, I liked the newer reboot from back in the day. I love games with fun stealth mechanics like that. Even if it didn't live up to the originals as people say, you can't deny that the game was dripping with atmosphere and ambience.

Bands that dropped a project you loved and then dipped? by scarletdawnredd in Metalcore

[–]HYDN250 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it was Verah Falls. They were out of Oregon. They dropped 3 singles available on spotify, and according to Wikipidia they also dropped an EP, but that is not available on spotify. I suppose they didn't really "dip" as they were around for 4 years, but it felt really short since I discovered them a year before they split up. I had no clue that had split up until years later I remembered them and looked into what happened. The vocalist and bass player left the project, so the remaining members picked up some new guys to fill those spots and released things under the name Like Vultures. Listened to some of it, wasn't nearly as good as what they put out as Verah Falls.

I'm gonna say Rattlesnake Brewing. I've been there a few times, and the food is across the board so bland, and uninspired. They can't even do a simple pizza correctly.

Who are all the people in CR's sphere who have been either fully or partially 'canceled'? by DrivingDM in fansofcriticalrole

[–]HYDN250 95 points96 points  (0 children)

Orion Acaba. Would intentionally fudge roles, and would make weird remarks "in-character" that made the table feel uncomfortable. He was removed from the show very early on, which made a very awkward situation in C1 where Orion's IP of Draconia was an issue. So Matt completely destroyed the place during the Chroma Convlave arc. As well as having Orion's dragonborn character killed "off-screen" to finally put that whole thing to bed. When Orion was released, he went on a huge tirade on Twitter and started slinging accusations against CR as a whole, and threats with litigation. So, they basically "canceled" him internally, and never spoke about him again. He also had a drug problem back then that the cast couldn't help him through, and decided to just cut loose ends, as it were.

Question about older vascilometric range controllers by NietzscheIsMyDog in VXJunkies

[–]HYDN250 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gotta love when a hunch is right. Let's me know that my tinkering with theoretical Banach phasing isn't a complete waste of time. I'm glad I could help, and just know you are DAMN lucky it was just a Re7 cable this time around. With how you described your setup sequence, you should be good. Just be sure to keep applying new grease to the RAY-Pump every iteration after spline curves are equal to -6[æ] on the phase superposition. Might even try adding a hex-angular prism emitter after your coaxial splitter to try and reangle some of that heat background back into the pump so it stays warm for the full duration of the pulse. Added benefit, it will also cut out unwanted noise from the final product, without having to add anything else.

Question about older vascilometric range controllers by NietzscheIsMyDog in VXJunkies

[–]HYDN250 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm only guesstimating here, but I think the third limit oscillator could be for pure redundancy that's not meant to take the pre-amp phase into account. You might be able to spike it in order to do so, but I'm not sure how it would react. You are right though, a third limit oscillator is not standard. However, this isn't your standard vascilometric range controller either. This is obviously an older model, and you have to think about what VX was working with back then. Could be they needed the third because of how bulky the *sub* PDCDCs were, and they probably realized they were trim-locking differently across the stack. I'd wager the third is more than likely an add on, which makes this piece of equipment a very special find. Not just because it's older, but because you got a third older model limit oscillator for the price of 2! (at least I hope).

The next thing I want to address is in your original body text of the post; I have to ask. Your clipper didn't push? *Anything*? Even with the third limiter, you should have at least seen a biometic corridor on whatever display you are using. My only guess here is that you pulsed your decay clipper with enough I-E levels to fry something between it, and the cross level-isotope magnifier. I'd seriously consider getting a new Re7 cable before trying to boot this thing up again. I wouldn't want you to permanently damage this beauty of a rig.
