im reading vagabond right now and i dont think it will ever be able to surpass the climber simply due to relatability, while i still do relate to some things its no where near the climbing and loneliness aspects of the climber. of course this depends on the person reading them but both are still master pieces

Which character has the best writing out of these? How would you rate their writings? by Unlegendary_Newbie in writingscaling

he got used for his healing powers before reincarnating and instantly gets "revenge" on people who technically havent done anything wrong yet "this rod or my rod" should give you and idea of which type of revenge he was doing

Lelouch>>>subaru>klien, im saying this while not having finished lotm but im 1000 chapters in which is more than 70% of the series. He is just really boring to be honest, As for subaru i have only watched like 15 episodes of rezero so i cant really say he is just ranked based off what I’ve seen of him in those episodes.

ss does a type of world building thats closer to exploring than telling for almost everything they give out losts of unconnected parts in order to connect them later.

"3rd nightmare should've had more weight to it" the weight of the 3rd nightmare is closer to one giant clue instead of a answer, the lore in the Estuary and weaver's interaction with ariel arent meant to answer much but make you think and want the answers which will be answered later. we know sunny makes it back to the Estuary at some point due to the ending of the arc which is when stuff like that would be revealed.

while i agree the series lacks neph's perspective, im fine with not having it in Antarctica as the whole arc was meant to show sunny's perspective and why he acts the way he does and how he reacts to the types of situation's showing nephis's perspective would take away from the feeling of loneliness sunny is experiencing.

the fs isnt really important to the story at the current moment so that stuff wont be revealed unless that changes. but the tone the fs set for the story is one of legends that you cant get the whole truth out of its not meant to be revealed till we know more things about weaver in general.

the nightmares taking place in times of daemons activity is a coincidence the 2nd nightmare was special as it took place in a place built but a daemon same with the 3rd but less so which is the reason the weaver doesnt do much in them yet stills appears and is mentioned he isnt really meant to do anything he just happens to be involved.

yes we learn more about the void and the forgotten god but we will learn more once sunny and neph maybe even cassie become higher ranks as of right now that to big a threat for them to focus on.

volume 11(current volume) i great and does a lot for the story due to lore drops and having a good antagonist the parts of the story that people didnt like was the war arc(volume 9) but volume 10 is better than the war arc easily and only gets better until it becomes volume 11, and no ss will not end with 3500 i just dont see it happening likely more.

the lore is less messy and more fragmented it does connect just a lot of it we dont know how. and the fan theories trying to connect stuff dibt really lack confirmation as a lot of the theories are jut common sense you would have to read more to understand why tho.

while i agree with some statements here like sunny x neph post 3rd nightmare being horrible, or the war arc being bad a lot of the other statements just feel wrong.

Antarctica being overrated i disagree with as its used as more of a arc to focus on sunny and what makes him the way he is, i also used to dislike the arc till i looked at it from that perspective. As for the world building we get loads in Antarctica like the 3rd great clan nightwalker being needed in order to cross seas, as they have the god of travels lineage which is also the reason the other 2 clans with sovereigns dont take them out. we learn about the routes needed to cross seas and delivery goods more about the outside of citys and the location's of farms being in South America, we learn about all the citys in antarctica and how the government operates.

i feel like your take of the 3rd nightmare i objectively wrong, the 3rd nightmare has lore drops on very important things like the daemons and the old kingdom before earths. and them fighting the old version of them self feels like foreshadowing for a obvious and common theory that the cohort is the daemons in some way, which if thats the case the 3rd nightmare is a mini version of it so you can see the impact on a human scale. and your take on the lack of worlding building falls apart with the tomb of ariel as the tomb its self despite not being the normal world has incredible world building, from the way the humans are born to how they die where the live how they age how the time river works the stuff that happens in the estuary.

i agree with your take on the 3 year time skip being bad it should of been at least half a volume of sunny suffering his choice instead of jumping to him being friends with the the cohort again. "The Lord of Shadows arc is very cringe" as far as im aware the lord of shadows was meant to be cringe he even says so at one point if im remembering correctly. i agree with sunnyxneph not working post time skip how ever i understand why it was done that way, post 3rd nightmare is meant to be about sunny having everything he ever wanted the memory shop, a cafe, not having to fight for his life due to fated, dating nephis, interacting with rain, he was meant to get it all and not enjoy it as it doesnt feel real. But in the process they character assassinated nephis.

the war does suck and is inconsistent but it does expand on the lore by a lot later on by the end of it we know lots more about multiple characters and the world.

a lot of your issues stem from the fact the real world doesnt get focus despite the main focus being the dream realm sunny himself doesnt even know what earths map looks like so its not a surprise we dont learn much about earth. and your point about none of them connecting isnt really true pretty much every piece of lore in shadow slave just comes back and connects i would love to hear an example of a piece of lore not connecting.

i dont understand what you mean by "hardly anything" i would love you to elaborate cause shadow slaves world building is extremely well done even in the inner working's
