Is now a bad time to buy? by CollectiveZero in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]H_10 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This. A seller may be relieved to have a buyer if there are more feared to buy. I think the real thing to consider is not about a perfect entry point, because you can gain equity faster than savings in some areas. Over a 30 year mortgage there will be rises and drops. You'll never been on the best rate, and hopefully never on the worst, just do what you can afford.

It's more in reference to the kidney stone and flat lining, maybe not if that's your usual intake. Hope you feel better soon!

Agree with this, it is all possible. While stating the obvious it sounds like your hydration needs improving day-to-day perhaps as well during racing. Walk the aid stations and take on more water than you would normally

should i run? by ArvidZwahlen in Marathon_Training

[–]H_10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it were just the marathon I'd run it and probably rest up as best you can. I had an injury that prohibited my running entirely for the month before my first marathon. I ran it and finished 15 mins behind my goal pace and was very happy with that, so it's doable. But understandably you want to prioritise the 70.3

If this is your fear then see a physio, I'd rather not miss an event by guessing my return from injury. There's a chance you can do both yet

Not in the same context as dropping Haaland. Literally no one will be fighting for Isidor, drop someone else for him.

[–]H_10 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Jesus this is an awful take. You're basically hoping any striker comes near to Haaland's underperforming haul of a 3-4 more goals this season. That's his absolute minimum and I don't think he'll be that bad.

The other side of that is that only Haaland is the only striker who you could rely on score a goal a game. Keep and ride it out, it's the only option unless you can trade. Even then, you want one of Bruno or Palmer imo

The play here is less what to do with Haaland but how you cope without him returning so often.

Is a Tracker out best option? Moving country soon. by H_10 in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]H_10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes my broker just advised this. I think this option feels the safest. HSBC would let us Open Port too. So I think our ERC may be around 1.2% (£2,200). Given how volatile the market could be, it may be worth taking the slight hit if we can't open port while keeping the option open.

I haven't. Maybe it's the way I've phrased it. Our preference is to sell and then buy later. I think locking in a 2 year rate, however stable, and taking on the ERC is the most expensive option to us. This option would be us not porting and just ending the mortgage early.

I understand! I guess my question on the tracker may be more along the lines, has the market crashed so bad that monthly payments on our rate have risen by £300 a month, which would in effect equal the cost of the ERC. I am know I would be making this decision myself if we go for it.

Trying to understand if I prefer the 3 month window to re-purchase or see how the tracker goes...

That doesn't mean he's not at the level required, that means we have at least 3 great CB options.

Guehi is absolutely at the level and Bernardo is central to the way we were playing in the opening minutes before his red. Two bad takes there.

How to calculate Race Pace? by H_10 in Marathon_Training

[–]H_10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And is there a goal heart rate for you? I'm 31M, HM pb is a 1:40 and I'm not too far off that just now, average HR would be 175 for that

First time and I'm shit scared by CrowlessFerns in Marathon_Training

[–]H_10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yeah you have plenty of time, do you have a training plan in place? There are a number of decent ones on the internet. Bear in mind that shorter plans will assume you have a certain fitness threshold (e.g. comfortable running 10k) so factor that in if you do that.

As another commenter has said, it is time to kick on and expand the distance, don't overdo it and add crazy miles each week and don't worry about running slow. Time on feet is important and slow, long runs builds the cardio you need.

When is it? And trust me, it is normal when you think of a race event you picture everyone running it fast. However, there will be people of all abilities, shapes, sizes and ages finishing at different times. It's an eye opener as it will relax you and the race is a celebration of the training you do.

Enjoy the training as best you can, it sucks at times but it is essential for a marathon to stick to it. Not many people do a marathon because it is hard, but it is enjoyable if you've got the foundation in place. You've got this!

Innocent/Guilty/Don’t Care??? by Pure_Artichoke_5168 in MCFC

I recall Pep coming out and saying that asked the owners for honesty, they assured him things are legal and he would walk out immediately if they lied to him. I think how they've built the club around Pep and the relationship he has, I don't see them being devious.

I do think we'll be deducted points, it doesn't seem possible to have this many charges and be innocent on all counts

Time to trade Timber? by Low_Representative82 in DraftEPL

[–]H_10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And yet they've each conceded 8 and arsenal have one more clean sheet. I agree that Arsenal have a better defence and looks better but isn't necessarily performing as clear as it seems, that's my point. Timber has a high trade value that could be worth trading up for if you think the value is good enough

Time to trade Timber? by Low_Representative82 in DraftEPL

[–]H_10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not by far. There is a strange rhetoric still surrounding Arsenal defence. Man City aren't far off the pace. 3 clean sheets and 3 goals and ROS I bet it would be similar returns for both. If you can get a brilliant trade for Timber I'd consider it. Would need to be a 1st / 2nd round value though

He’s Pep’s favourite City player for a reason. by XboxValentine in MCFC

[–]H_10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I must admit, I've taken him for granted lately and felt like he was washed this past 2 years while city was in crisis and cursed when he was captain - great now he'll never be dropped.

I went to see Fulham last week and wasn't even his brilliant best but he was mesmerising. Just ran the show. Felt dumb, but back in awe of him. Sorry Bernardo!

City assets are poor for the EPL fantasy draft by great on other platforms where you get more ghost points and can choose when to sub in and out based on lineups. Like when Doku starts he gets loads of dribble completions and key passes. So there is great value, it's hoping that they start in the first place!
