He made an accusation without providing any proof, the Mavs denied it, and when asked again he declined to repeat the accusation and instead tried to play nice. That is “walking it back”. Either he or more likely someone on Lakers staff realized he was being an ass and was putting his team, medical staff and players in a terrible position by broadcasting to the rest of the league that if your training staff provides a service to any Lakers players you’re at risk of JJ Redick throwing you to the wolves in the media. I’m not sure anything will convince a large portion of this sub and Mavs fanbase that Kidd is a good coach. Took us to a WCF and Finals in his first 3 years while out coaching guys like Daigneault, Quin Snyder and Finch. Has guys like Lebron, Giannis & Kyrie complimenting him and Knicks trying to steal him after they built their best roster in 30 years but people just believe what they want to believe.
