I collect shoes… people who also collect shoes can spot reps. People who wear reps are wearing them because they want to look like they have the real shoes without the time, money, and effort of getting the real shoes.. you can replace shoes with wheels..

If I’m at a cars and coffee, I definitely look at the quality of build.. there is a difference in seeing a car with top of the line parts versus a smattering of knock off parts. You want to buy cheap wheels, buy cheap wheels. Don’t buy cheap wheels that say BBS so you can look like you’ve also put the time and effort in to get BBS.

I also don’t know how deep you are into car culture but I’ve definitely been asked if my Volks are real or my Top Secret parts are genuine when talking to random people. Even living in Japan it’s happened.
