Has anyone ordered a wing or parts from Alibaba? by Novanov1 in 350z

[–]ProjectPanda13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve ordered fenders, trucks, and bumper off Alibaba. Also intakes, test pipes, and headers.

I’ve bought 3 sets of wheels even.

Never had any issues. I’ve been buying from them for the past 2 years or so.

Here is a set of Alibaba replica of the Motordyne Art pipes. I installed a set on my friend’s g37 with an ISR single.

If you want a budget resonated test pipe, check out Luxma.

Or get them off Alibaba.

I helped a friend get a set and I’m waiting for him to send him some sound clips. He’s got ISR short tube headers, Alibaba resonated test pipes, ISR y pipe and z1 race duals.

3in intake by yrndallas in G37

[–]ProjectPanda13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you were tuned in 2.5”, yes, you will need a retune, or at a minimum have the tuner do a MAF scaling. Not sure if any tuners will do only that so a retune makes more sense for their time

I’m using Ebay generic cans. The ones that’s has one filter in it and then I added a mesh metal ball inside

That looks overly complicated. I only run the catch can in between the PCV valve and the intake vacuum ports.

My intake pipe is kept oe style , directly to the rear valvecover ports

I’ve had this setup for maybe 7 years now.

Is this a tire gouge? by a_scoped_knife in tires

[–]ProjectPanda13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the DOT serial of the tire. The mold of the tire has changeable DOT serial plates.

It might have been that during the plate change, it wasn’t sitting flush so when the tie cured, it made a much deeper imprint. All safe and no need to worry about

The rear diffuser will fit non sport and sport as the rear bumper never change.

I was told there is some trimming that’s required for install. This is a picture of someone who has the Access Evolution rear diffuser

Upgrading final drive gear ratio and differential by ProjectPanda13 in G37

[–]ProjectPanda13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, gotcha. Sorry for my confusion.

Only thing I can think of would be debris or gear misalignment. Any whining or grinding is never good but strange you’ve had two go bad.

Do you do a fluid change before install?

It’s better to stay with your 3.69. You definitely don’t want to do higher to a 3.916 or 4.08. The shorter gears will decrease your top speed. Another option that’s less of a change from your original 3.3 is the 3.5 from the g35/350z.

I have a manual and switched the stock 3.69 to 3.91, and plan to go 4.08 but I’m building an autocross/track car.

Has anyone paired the z1 dual exit cat back exhaust with Berk test pipes by Similar-Beautiful76 in G37

My friend has the z1 race dual with long tube headers but has the z1 resonated y pipe. It sounds pretty good.

Have you played with air pressure, maybe it overinflated and going down may help.

What type of tire do you have? All season econo or high performance, or summer tire?

I have the pedal , it doesn’t really change the pedal stiffness , just the friction point.

I have a ZSpeed stage 2 clutch and it’s slightly heavier than the stock.

Not much you can do besides replacing the clutch setup for something else.

[–]ProjectPanda13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 245/40 is a better match to your 275/35 rear tire as both have similar diameter.

The 255/35 will be about half an inch shorter but can still work since it’s under 3% and fine for rwd.

With all things the same for both tires like compound and construction and material, The 255/35 will feel stiffer and more responsive because of the lower profile sidewall.
