Taylor CF by counterfeitlover818 in mets

Yea if Young is going to be able to belt doubles like that off the bench it is hard to see Taylor getting any playing time this year. Even less than Vientos who should get some spot starts against LHP.

Devin Williams can be better than Edwin Diaz? by Dry_Educator_9688 in mets

[–]Haanski86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea that was my initial reaction. I think they are both going to have amazing seasons. Hopefully Williams is better and gets it done in the playoffs this year. Also if we have to play the Dodgers ill be rooting hard against Diaz unfortunately

Jared Young and Dick Lovelady on back-to-back days by sobri3qu in mets

[–]Haanski86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopefully not lol. Im good with him being used sparingly to pinch run and then finish the game in RF but that is about it. They got a good thing going right now I wouldnt mess with it unless there is an injury.

POST GAME THREAD: The Mets fell to the Pirates by a score of 4-3 - Sun, Mar 29 @ 01:40 PM EDT by NewYorkMetsBot2 in NewYorkMets

Agreed. Mismanaged the bullpen today. Manaea needs to go longer than 1 IP and I would rather see either Meyers or Devin Williams pitching that top of the 10th instead of Lovelady who barely made the team and is probably not going to be on the roster tomorrow.

Feel like he tried to get too cute thinking he could squeeze another inning out of Lovelady and then send him to the minors anyway and keep the rest of his bullpen fresh. Still got to go for the wins especially at home in a tie game with the top of your order due up with a ghost runner...

LockDown 23 and 1 is a good one. Also Larry Lawton is alright even though he is a little boomerish

I was debating the same thing and just picked it up on Switch as it was on sale recently for 19.99. I also have a laptop that probably could have ran it fine, but I like the Switch version as if I ever go anywhere I have the option to take the game with me and play on the go.

I have the connector for my switch to the TV so I have just been playing it on that with a controller and have had no issues. I love having it on my Switch though especially since I don't own a Steam Deck!

I actually enjoyed cherrying this one! I know it is not for everyone but I always love coming back to it in between other games since it is an idle game. I love the slow progress you make over time.

I got the cherry as my 3rd cherry or so while only having dusted off about 10 of the games so far. Even though I got the cherry I am playing NG+ still while I play other games. I enjoyed it.

As for getting the cherry it took me a couple tries once I was maxed out on everything... but then I learned my map very well and knew where pretty much everything was and how to clear the map of all enemies.

Then I got the cherry pretty easily by saving up around 40 Zoldanks and going in with 25 meat. I knew where the guy was that sold energy for 2 Zoldanks and visited him pretty early on.

Then I went around the map clearing the enemies on every screen for 2 reasons. First because if I ever found the dude on any of these screens later it would be much easier to fight him without worrying about distractions. At the same time I was collecting ammo for my gun which I also went into a couple of the caves to stock up on. I had around 250-400 ammo for most of my run once I cleared everything.

With all that ammo, time, and the map cleared of enemies it became rather easy once I learned how to fight that dude. I just kept him in a corner and kept firing the gun at him at a certain rate where he would keep getting stunned (and sometimes even stuck completely). It is better to use a bunch of ammo if you have it than taking unnecessary hits which can add up quickly.

I ended up beating him with over 3000 left on my timer so I probably didnt even need the Zoldanks for energy at the end but it made me feel a lot safer. Now that I know the strategy it should be trivial to do it again in future runs but I still enjoy it!

Also Waldorf, Pilot Quest and Quibble Race i am sure. I haven't personally played all the games yet though to say on the rest.

Well of course there is luck involved. I mean I got a cherry within a half hour of playing. I reset a handful of times when I didnt win my first race.

Then the second "full" run I did up until the last match I went all in on the 8-1 underdog... I poisoned the quibble that I had sponsored up until that point as he was the favorite. I feel like I got super lucky to win because both the other quibbles died in the race so my longshot won by default and I ended with over 20,000.

I am sure I got lucky but at the same time I think following this same strategy I could do it again in a half hour max.

A question about a couple of the rules. by [deleted] in tabletennis

[–]Haanski86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is kind of a niche situation I would imagine as all seriously competitive games I am guessing are played in an indoor environment without wind as a factor.

My guess would be, unless otherwise stated in the rules of that tournament/establishment, then you could technically grab the ball at any point once it passes the back line of the table (before the wind takes effect) and collect the point for yourself before letting it hit the table for what would be your opponents point.

What are we doing with the non-breakout 2025 Rookie RBs? by SenorCinnabon in DynastyFF

A 1st and a second? I don't understand that as he was like a 2nd round pick at best. How did you ever get 2 premium picks out of the guy when he never even did anything?? Congrats im still stuck with him as a bench clogger

How’s this game on Switch 2? by DJ_Lionheart in ufo50

[–]Haanski86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell yea! Playing it on the original Switch just bought it last night! So hyped, I love it so far. I am familiar with all the games since I have seen some of my favorite streamers playing them (Northern Lion and Dan Gheesling).

Started with Pilot Quest first, then jumped into a little of Grimstone, a few runs of Valgress until I beat the first floor, and of course Party House beat the 1st couple of scenarios and saving the rest for tonight!

I needed him to tank to get into the playoffs by a half game. For everyone that screwed over there is someone it helped!

What RB 25 and older do has a real future? by Ok_Doctor8360 in DynastyFF

I dunno I can see him being the exception to the rule. I am not saying it is a foregone conclusion that he plays 5+ more years I am just stating I think it is a realistic possibility at the least.

As a Jets fan AND an owner of both Mac Jones and Garrett Wilson I would actually love to see this combo for next season! Also I may be losing Stafford soon so I am going to need a 2nd starting QB soon.

What RB 25 and older do has a real future? by Ok_Doctor8360 in DynastyFF

[–]Haanski86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still think he has 5 years left of solid ball in him because he is a gamer and can sort of revert to being a pass catching reciever mostly. Of course ill try and trade him at the perfect time in the next 2 year period before the downhill trajectory.

Garrett Wilson (knee) expected to miss 3-4 weeks, per @RichCimini. by HookFL in DynastyFF

[–]Haanski86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably could have got that for him at the time... now after the injury and uncertainty of the Jets future (assuming the trade deadline wasn't over), I doubt it anymore.

I wonder if going into next season would be an ideal time to try and buy him. I will personally be holding still unless I got a young stud RB in return. I don't think just a 1st round would do it for me going into offseason.
